He's clearly at ATG, best cruiser ever and a top 10 ATG heayweight. Yes he was dirty, he practically had a third fist with all the headbutts he threw in but most fighters will do what they can get away with during a fight. But the whole Evan Fields debacle puts a big question mark over his achievements at heavyweight.
Evander is a legend. Period. Yes he was dirty (Lennox was dirty too), that doesn't matter as he won HW title 4 times (should've won 5), and beat more HW lineal champions than any fighter in history.
One of the best HW's in history, the #1 CW in history and one of the biggest cheaters in history. Clearly an ATG.
Unified and Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion of the World, the 1st to have jumped up and won the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship by beating the man Douglas who beat the man Tyson, regaining the Championship from the man he had lost to in Bower and regaining the WBA title from the man himself Tyson, won a 4 time WBA HW Championship against Ruiz and just only didn't win a 5th cause he got robbed against Valuev in Europe. Dirty? Sure, against who Mike Tyson, one of the meanest, most vicious players to have stepped into a boxing ring...
Yes, and one of the last Heavyweight legends at that. When he lost, he would come back and redeem himself like all great champs do. He had his ear bitten off and still boxed on like a man.
Evander was a beast. A Cruiserweight that could hang with the heavies. Great stanima, punch resistance, and combination puncher.
