Do you think that sometimes at times, being past someone's prime isnt really a good excuse?

Byrd was 38 and way past it. Plus he never lost a lot of muscle while dropping to LHW. According to himself, he was eating a lot of junk food to keep the weight for the HW division, was fighting sick, and it wasn't muslce, most of it was fat.

Hopkins himself has said neither he nor anybody else would beat prime Jones. So evidently he thinks the Jones he did beat was further from his prime than himself.

He was past his best, but not finished.

He was in good shape for the Povetkin fight.

He burnt muscle to get back to 175 for the first time in years. But his body didn’t respond well.

He was completely devoid of energy.

He took it off too quickly.

Shaun George knocked him out, and he wasn’t even a world level LHW.

He was way past his best. 38 and got brutally destroyed by Wlad 2 years back and stopped by Povetkin after a greuling fight. 3 years older and further gone than RJJ was. And like I said - he didn't burn muscle, he burned fat he put on to compete with the big boys.

    He didn’t just burn fat.

Go and look at his own testimony.

His body didn’t respond to the cut.

He then finished his career with a win, back up at a higher weight.

Yeah, I spoke to him about, lol. He burned mostly fat and of course you burn some muscle when you're cutting, but it wasn't RJJ type of cut, where he put on almost all muscle and then burned it.

Or maybe stopping the steroids had adverse effects.

I never said it was exactly like what Roy did.

What I said, was that he took it off quickly, and his body didn’t respond, where he was knocked out by a non world level LHW, after taking years of shots from world class HW’s.

Again, he then finished his career with a win, back at a heavier weight that his body was more comfortable at.
