There have been fake Joshuas and Bidens all over the western world, pretending to be the real people. I saw this on Alex Jones, who, maybe not coincidentally, is another AJ.

Yes it was and that is no knock on AJ. Dubious had a good game plan and completely caught AJ off guard and once he was rocked he couldn’t get his bearings back.

AJ was in the oppposite corner to Dubois, so chose to take the fight, that is enough for me.

AJ was not dragging his ass into the ring, after he had lost the title because he was in the same positioin as Louis having to pay IRS debts, AJ has enough money to live in height of luxury till his dying days.

Talk of real or not real AJ is nonsense, it takes away from the demolition job Dubois did on him, that is wrong, Dubois soundly beat the guy put in front of him.

I voted “yes, it was the real AJ”.

Reason being is that he had looked to be on excellent form coming into the fight - but he was so lazy with his lead hand in round 1 that he was made to pay heavily for it, and then never got back into it after that - never stood a chance. He was done in round 1. Personally I just think he was slack and got caught cold.

I think an underrated asset of Joshua’s is that even when badly hurt his pride tells him to keep going. So he takes a shellacking over a longer period given his tenacity - same in the Ruiz 1 match - there was NO way he was getting back into that one. Had those fights been 1 punch KO’s people would’ve dismissed them easier rather than see him trying to fight back way after the fight was lost.

fair play to the guy - he always fights back when hurt. That’s something people usually lionize on these boards.

I have the feeling that Dubois is not recognised as champion by many heavyweights. Like a little unexperienced fella who got gifted the title and they gonna show him real quick where he belongs in the rankings.

Joshua also seemed like he planned to go through Dubois like against Ngannou. He seemed like he prepared only to time the right hook/overhead and Dubois was ready for more. And Joshua had no plan B. I would favour Joshua in any rematch with Dubois, no idea why he didnt take it.

In the past AJ has arrived a few hours before his ring walks and warmed up well on the pads. If I remember rightly he was very late getting to Wembley for the Dubois fight and no cameras were in the dressing room. Thought it was odd on the night and remarked on his ring walk being off. I’d be open to there being mitigating circumstances but at the end of the day, he froze and reverted to amateur habits.

Scared into retirement by the guy last seen arse over face? Lol.

I get the feeling that a Fury vs AJ fight would just be sad at this point and it does nothing for whoever wins except bank a lot of cash. I can see it happening in 2027 when both are starting to burn through their $$.

It was AJ in terms of his very best since becoming a multimillionaire.

Yup. A lot of revisionism going on retrospectively. I've never seen AJ as 'elite' bit he was World class, maybe still is. He jist got caught by a young, powerful fighter whose day had come. AJ has big bollocks, big power and the kid CAN box. He'll be back if he wants to be and I'd honestly take him to beat Bakole and Zhang with the right camp. AJ needs to fight scared, I don't think he respected Dubois at all and certainly didn't expect the power he possesses. How do you train for being hit by a truck?

To be fair AJ tried to fight back and did rock Dubois to his heels just before getting KO’d himself.

All credit to Dubois for striking back immediately at a time when he might’ve otherwise kept taking backward steps himself.

I don’t think AJ expected to Dubois to take that shot and still be able to punch back as quickly and effectively as Daniel did - but AJ should’ve being more careful all the same.

I have to say that I think Dubois showed more mongrel than he did against Usyk so that’s at least one improvement that I would afford Daniel.

Too bad that it was Andy “Quadruple Cheese” who turned up for the rematch.

The real Joshua showed up in every fight.

Stop listening to Mr Eddie Hearn - Joshua was a non elite Paper World Champion always destined to fall apart when he faced a live test.

Along with Whyte and Chisora, Hearn fleeced the public time and again with lies and spin.

    All three pony.
