Do you think there should be no 265 weight limit in the ufc?

I don't know why there is a weight limit to fight at heavyweight. Seems dumb that many fighters have to cut weight to fight at the top weight class.

    Make LW 146lbs to 160lbs, WW 161lbs to 175lbs, MW 176lbs to 190lbs, Light HW from 191lbs to 220lbs and HW 221lbs+

The weight limit should stay. It encourages the guys to stay in shape, looks at what happened to Sylvia when he left the UFC. Blew up to over 300lbs and looked and even worse sack of ****

Take off the cap and the HW division will become a glorified Sumo contest. You want some guys in there who are the best in the sport due to their athletic merits, not how many trips they make to the drive through

Hmmm well that didn't really happen in PRIDE who had no heavy limit....Although i do echo your sentiments. That said it hampers guys who are naturally big like Big Foot or Hunt.

Cant really think of anyone in PRIDE who couldnt make the 265 limit myself, drawing a blank. Maybe Tom Erikson...and he could get a decent fight for years. Who you got in mind?

And I think the limit does wonders for guys like Big Foot, him coming in 60lbs heavier and laying on guys like JDS would harm the sport imo. And he seems to make the limit just fine

That would have a domino effect too, guys will be piling on the mass for no good reason other than the lack of a limit cap rather than fighting at their premium size. Look what happened to Mir as a worst case scenario, those extra 20lbs didnt do him any good

As I said, it would turn into glorified sumo

Mark Hunt, Ricardo Morais, Giant Silva, Semmy Schilt, and that fat **** Zulu :yep
That said i have no problems with the 265 limit. I wouldn't want to see a Super Heavy division.

Well Mark has always been on the limit, and judging solely on recent pics of him he seems to have dropped some pounds and looks in his best shape for years.

And other than Semmy...meh could do without them

    Are you sure...?

IIRC Miller wasn't over 265. Big dude mind you for a guy so short. Wasn't his background Sumo?
