Do you think they are managing Leo Santa Cruz career at the right pace?

IMO it has been a huge disappointment. I mean, the guy has a great work rate and one of the best body punching in the sport right now but yet he keeps fighting guys that don't take him to the next level. Do you think they are taking him at the right pace or just way too slow? It also might be that they know how one dimensional he really is but not even Margarito was brought up this slow.

Does anyone think the answer to this question is yes? I'm pretty sure this would be a 1,000 to 0 poll.

I haven't followed him closely just seen the fights of his on ppv undercards

it looked like he won titles at 1 or 2 weights and has had some title fights

But it feels like he has stagnated in comp or went backwards

hes managed safely and gets the lions share so financially hes safe, for legacy or big bucks he will have to take a bigger risk in comp to build a bigger brand

He's getting paid handsomely for fighting absolute stiffs. it's pretty bad for boxing, but good for him.

Question is, when we get to the point that his popularity hits rock bottom and people just don't want to watch him anymore, will The Haymon still pay him that much money or just trow him in with one of the lions?

I wasn't comparing resumes, I was comparing a one dimensional fighter against the other. Margarito was brought up differently than Leo, it just seems that Leo will really never amount to anything despite having some tools that could make him succeed at certain levels.

    Chill out.

Of course his career has crazily slowed and I think his management has mishandled him.

I'm just saying the dude gets paid a lot of money to fight overmatched guys since his breakout year which was followed by a very nice run against Terrazas, Mijares, and Seda. People forget that hot two year run. However this is now his 4th of 5th consecutive forgettable opponent since. Not good for his legacy and current standing. Too many tune ups. True tune ups following each other.

See, that's the thing. He has succeeded quite a bit already and doesn't get the dues for what he has done. You guys have made LSC underrated the past year or so...

It just seems like he is treated like he's either a top 10 P4P fighter, which isn't fair, or a completely padded hype job, which isn't fair.

He might as well have been inactive since the Mjares fight his opposition have been that pitiful. Rigo, Frampton and Quigg have all offered him fights but nothing

Rigo has tried to get all 3 in the ring

Quigg has tried to get Frampton and LSC in the ring

Frampton has tried to get Santa Cruz in the ring

Santa Cruz has tried to fight none of the above.

And while Frampton & Quigg have gone on record (or their teams at least) admitting they're ducking Rigo, Santa Cruz is the one harping on 'i'll fight anybody'

What was 'not chill' about that? Seemed liked I made pretty innocuous post. It was a light hearted joke.

Just seemed like you didn't pick up on my "light hearted joke" remotely.
