Do you think this will be fight of the year?

no. exciting fight at a high level, but i think it was a bit short on the drama for a foty. a knock down might have made the difference.

 

Nope, although the 12th could very well be in contention for round of the year. Action was quite limited in the middle rounds, very high lvl battle between both guys with distinctively different styles.

 

It's top 3 right now. But probably not. Not that it wasn't a great fight, but some complete blood and guts war will probably steal it's thunder. Right now top 3 for me are this, Dorticus/Gassiev and Usyk/Breidis.

 

I can go to sleep well knowing that I watched that fight. Crazy.

 

Gassiev-Dorticos was more power punch action packed, this had more activity, combo punching, and was a higher level, and those qualities gave it more compelling ebb and flow. SSR-Estrada was a boxing match, a war, it had everything, and can please every kind of fan. Unloading everything they had left and going for it in the 12th distinguished it enough that it's hard to imagine anything eclipsing it.

 

Nah.....It was a fun fight but there was no KD. to make it more exciting than it actually was. Besides, it's now too early to decide which fight should be Fight of the Year.

I just wasn't feeling it. It didn't move me. Something was missing.

 

Gassiev vs Dorticos is currently my fight of the year.

 

Hoping Joshua and Parker can produce something special.
