Don' get me wrong he was a bad mutherfvcker back when he beat wlad, but how many fighters could make a successful comeback after 3 years of inactivity plus a drug problem. And don' say well Ali did it cause ali wasn't abusing his body

    Very hard to say.

    Some factors to consider:

    1. Sounds like he may have had the coke problem while he was still fighting strong. So perhaps he can handle it.

    2. “Modern medicine” may be able to do a lot to get him back into fighting shape.

This is just to say he could come back competitive. I don’t think he’ll return to the form that schooled Wlad.

Comeback to a big fight the top level is questionable

Staying at the top level; not happening

The guy is too mentally weak. Lacks mental strength and really lacks self discipline

The dude is still in his 20s, it's not like he's battle worn or taken a huge KO or anything. I think it's more likely that his come back will be to the heavyweight division something more like a fat man belly flopping into a small pool than not. I think he should have a tune up fight, safe but not TOO safe to get into the flow and get his confidence back but I am sure he'll be fine.

    55% Tyson Fury

    vs

    45% Mike Tyson

When is he going to fight next? He should fight against Briggs, he could make good money, easy fight, and slowly he would get back in shape. He is still a bit overweight, he needs training camp and routine.

Hes a young man in a division where the best fighters peak later than most.

There's a reason he is targeting Shannon Briggs and Antonio Tarver...

The heavy are having a mini tournament in March. If he's serius he should target Povetkin and jump into the mix.

Comeback or successful comeback? The thread title says one thing and the opening post the other.

I doubt Fury is losing all this weight so he looks better in the mirror. So a comeback looks a certainty.

Whether the comeback is successful or not depends on people's interpretation of successful. Does he have to win a world title for his comeback to have been successful?

    No.

I expect the weight and the drugs to have permanently damaged his abilities. I expect him to get stopped if he fights a top 4 guy.

Yes, he can. But he may fight once a year and announce his retirement again.
