We get a threads about how he squandered his prime years and messed up what could have been an ATG career

But maybe it doesnt bother him so much. There are things in life far bigger than boxing, even to an elite operator like Andre. He's a highly intelligent guy who's made decent money out of boxing, is still doing so, and has his all faculties intact

I don't think so and it's kind of a shame, just imagine having his level of talent and let it go to waste (well partly) like this.

    Andre S.O.G. Ward retweeted

"Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened." Billy Graham

...Brave Mikey Garcia will continue to fight on for TR despite the contractual dispute, and Ward's spine will be stiffened by that. Mikey will inspire Andre to fight on, with courage.

Yeah, for most anyone in that position it would be an extremely difficult thing to deal with and truly "get over"

He's obviously a devout believer in God though, and maybe genuinely sees his lifes path in Gods hands

For his sake, i hope so

Ward wants to be seen as a great fighter just as much as anyone else. I'm sure he would have loved to have been in some big fights in the last few years.

Not a Ward fan but yea

    Olympic Gold

Unified World Champ who beat everyone worth beating at 168 without an obvious 168

Now he's in broadcasting probably making bank while not getting hit at all

Sure he coulda done more but so could all who've ever lived

    Yes you're right.

Floyd is currently the best out there.

But Andre is at best, third best.

From the interviews I've listen to he said something to this extent:

"If my career ends today then I could be very happy with what I've accomplished".

To be honest I don't blame him. He's got a great amateur record, national champion, olympic gold medalist. Then he proceds to become the undisputed champion in a stacked divison and beats everyone with a clear margin.

Then he beats the best the light heavyweight divison has to offer and knocks him out. So I think he has done very well. Would it be a tragedy for it to end as a fan?

Yes, it would be a real shame if we couldn't see how his career would have played out due to promotional issues.
