He is right for some reason with ali and even naseem it was fun and exciting when they trash talked, with floyd it just annoys everyone, don't know why though maybe he just doesn't have the natural wit thats why it seems forced.

People say Naz was never a P2P or serious contender for an ATG...

I used to hate naz's personality, felt he was too cocky when he was around...but the above comment is total BULL**** if ive ever heard any!

In the late 90's and early 00's, Naz was considered by almost every expert in the fight fraternity to be the worlds best around his weight mark.....this was clearly seen prior to his bout with Augie Sanchez....which only materialised when Naz put his title on offer to both Marco Antonio Barerra, and Erik Morales, as well as calls for bouts with the then unbeaten Shane Mosley at a catchweight, and Diego Corrales, with Mayweathers name also floating around...

People often forget that Barrera and Morales blatantly refused the chance to fight the Prince, who was looking ominously good in his destructions of fighters like Johnson and Bungu, possessed knockout power in both hands aswell as a great chin, with excellent use of angles and movement, and blistering speed. I will find a video prior to this fight with Augie in which HBO's team of analysts Larry Merchant and Co, as well as fighters like George Foreman, Roy Jones Jr, offering their plaudits for the Prince, who in their words 'looks like the most sensational fighter since a young Cassius Clay'

so for all those who say he was never considered to be P4P or ATG, need a reality check

yes he underachieved, due to his loss of love for the sport, and unwavering ego....but the Prince could never be considered a underdog against anyone

  3. But not what this thread is about. Mugen said Naz was a natural **** talker and Floyd has to work hard at it. You replied with a non sequitur comment. So don't be surprised when people shoot you down. If you don't want to talk about Naz's superior trash talking over Floyd's, then you don't have to!!

Naz's antics were better. They were witty and so outlandish that even when he was talking to you I think anyone could laugh it off. He would put his arm around you and say, "Man you are a nice guy, but I am going to knock you spark out!" then he would laugh it up with the other guy saying the same thing back to him. Mayweather hurts feelings.

I guess it is the "making fun" versus "starting a fight". I enjoy both, but it is what it is.

I would still say that Mayweather is the better boxer of the two.

I could imagine them at the weigh in! I think Floyd would get frustrated though and wind up pushing Naz or spitting in his face. If they fought, Floyd would be in the ring waiting while Naz did his long ring entrances.

Floyd has immense natural talent in pretty much every area needed for boxing success: strength, reflexes/vision, foot speed, hand speed, chin... The difference between Floyd and Naz is that Floyd trains harder, has a better grasp of the fundamentals, and NEVER underestimates an opponent, regardless of the **** he talks.

Hamed(apart from Vitali's entrance when fight Samuel Peter) had the best entrances that guy knew how to put butts in seats and looked like a popstar doing so. He would flip off the top rope and after circling the ring he would go straight into his opponent's faces and bounce in front of them. Hamed was bloody good lol.

The Prince is a God! Boxing needs characters with wit and talent like him. He entertained; what more could you possibly want?

Your post that I quoted before was just bizarre. You basically called us all bitches because we were replying to what the thread was about and not as you put it "totally overlook" that and start talking about the mans boxing skill.

    No offence.

One of my favorite nights was watching Barrera beat the hell out of the Prince. Why? Because Naseem had beaten the hell out of everybody else. I kept waiting for somebody to shut his mouth and kept watching him until somebody did. He brought viewers therefore he was good for the sport.
