He rattled Briggs and Briggs did have a solid enough chin. But not granite. He was floored 3 times and stopped by Lennox (no shame in that, Lennox was a lethal puncher) and was stopped Darrol Wilson who never stopped any other world level fighters. 90s Foreman simply wasn't the puncher he's made out to be :conf 53.3% KO ratio in the 90s and half of the fights he did win by KO were against utter no hopers. Only KO win in 15 fights in the 90s over a top 10 opponent was Moorer.
And you are rating Wilder's ability to outbox Foreman based on what? His showings against Stiverne, Molina and Scott? Wilder is chinny himself, and for sure was nowhere near as good as Tommy Morrison. Also, Foreman's performances vs Holyfield, C00ney, Moorer, and Briggs tell me that even a 90s version of Foreman was much better than Wilder.
Yeah but that was a very sh¡tty version of George. and Schulz wasn't a bad fighter at all. Wilder hasn't really proven that he is far and above a better fighter than Schulz.
Stiverne's four fight win streak from Austin to Arreola II is more solid than any three fight win streak George could piece together during his comeback.
Corret. Foreman's comeback was PATHETIC. Beaten by anyone with half a pulse. Lost to Schulz, Briggs. Beaten up by LHW moorer for 10 rounds before landing ONE single lucky punch. Fat comeback Foreman is journeyman level opposition. He wouldn't win against any current top 10 boxer.
True, thats why these questions are best left at the end of a career. People forget the Seth Mitchell train derailment.
