Absolutely not. You risk exacerbating (making worse) your current state, and the possibility of getting pneumonia, Bronchitis etc. Also, while your body is in it's weakened state, you can get Glandular fever and in real bad cases Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and then you'll be ****ed for months. Rest, get plenty of sleep and eat right. Then you can train to full effect.
love4boxing..that is a great question.. i recently well a little over 6 months ago i work-out with a minor flu..chills..slight cough.. i got real, real sick..
an old friend of mine was trainin for a fight with a very bad flu he was training very hard an he got even sicker passed out and wound up dying RIP so i strongly suggest u take a break
well **** if i know how old this thread but honestly depends on how bad the flu is and how recently you got it...but seeing as how it already got to your throat id agree with everyone else and just rest up if its just the sniffles or a slight cold...by all means i say train...sweating out a flu and eating and drinking plenty of fluids on top of a good nights rest will have that **** out in a day... but if it gets into the latter stages...**** it man...just chill at home and strategize or maybe prioritize what you might wanna work on... from personal experience...ive trained with a flu in the early stages and in the latter stages... i was ****in HURTING in the latter stages...i did some cardio and shadow boxed and my head was POUNDING! and i felt ****in sick like i wanted to vomit... but when i did it early...i made sure to train light...everything light...do your cardio at a slower pace...dont try to be as fast or throw as hard when you shadowbox (good opportunity to work on form)...DONT ****IN SPAR!...lift light weights or a decent calesthetics routine...and just make sure the stock up on Vitamins and water...i suggest adding a mint in your water...you'll be suprised about the effects but basically...i felt that i sweat out most of the flu by the next day and felt great...i kicked up the routine a bit but still kept it fairly light...and by the next day it was gone...my nose was clogged but i felt like my energy was back...and i managed to do everything else normally...
