One punch can cause damage to the face. Facial damage doesn't tell the whole story.:deal
I disagree PBF landed the cleaner harder shots he hurt Oscar twice in that fight once in the 5th and again in the 11th. Oscar never hurt PBF in that fight.

It can be misleading not only because of body punches, but because some guys just swell, cut, or bruise more than others.

I had Taylor ahead 7-2 after nine against Chavez, but Taylor's face was already showing the signs of all the subtle punishment by then and Chavez didn't look that bad at all in terms of facial damage.

But lets also keep in mind you could clearly see Taylor was getting hit he actually fought like a man! Floyd its hard to tell the way he moves his head, but irregardless if you hit the arms and biceps those count as well if you jab a man in his shoulder that counts to it doesnt have to be all head shots or all body shots

One thing I wonder about is if Floyd is one of those guys who swells or bruises easily.

He wasn't getting caught that often against Emannuel Burton/Augustus, he did get hit with some decent shots, but not a whole lot, but his nose was bloody. Mayweather was beating the stuffing out of Ndou, and took some shots in return, but not too many, and I remember Larry Merchant commenting that Floyd had bruises on both sides of his face. Floyd also had a bruise under his right eye against Baldomir, and I can only Baldomir really landing some body shots and right hands, but only a left hook or two that would land on that side of his face, but Floyd had a bruise under his eye as well. Maybe it was a clash of heads. Floyd took some shots against Oscar, neither guy really did much damage, but needed to wear some stunna shades on Jay Leno a day later.

Floyd does get hit like any fighter, but he's very slick and doesn't get hit very often....I wonder if he's someone who bruises or swells easily.

I honestly believe Floyd won the fight. It was close, because Oscar couldn't and Mayweather either wouldn't or couldn't.

His left hook was blocked by Oscar nearly all the time, sometimes impressively. Mayweather punches fast, but Oscar seemed to see them. I attribute it to the lack of variety in Mayweather when he's first to get off. He doesn't make that much angles or combinations.

Defensively, though, he's a joy to watch. And he can counterpunch with the best of 'em.

He didn't get hit that much by Castillo. He did a good job of slipping most of the head shots. Most of the good work Castillo did was to the body.

I'd say there is 24 guys who don't think PBF pitter pats.

Ask Sharmba Mitchell how "light" Floyd hits.. or better yet... ask Arturo Gatti.
