You're forgetting that neither of these fighters are very exciting at this stage in their careers (so, in Oscar's case he isn't exciting anymore and in Jesus' case he still isn't and likely never will be) so even if they manage to pawn tickets on thousands of idiots and sucker millions around the world into watching on tv, it will be at the expense of those poor beguiled spectators, of the sport. This is a bad thing and shouldn't happen.

Both should retire, that's the only news I want to hear about either.

Hey, are you working with these promoters? Makes alot of sense and can you imagine the 24/7 if that is what you were alluding to.

You forgot that Oscar can fight a cab driver and fans will pay. He has that Tyson draw.

I didn't forget that at all; actually I acknowledged it.

Doesn't change the fact that this would badly damage boxing.

Oscar and Jesus are liabilities. They need to be put the **** down.

Well, that was what alot of posters were saying about the Pac vs Oscar. It sold. It can be turned into a telenovela with what the above poster mentioned. His last harrah and Jr. trying to avenge his father. Do I want it to happen, yes. Just to let Oscar go out with a win. Is it damaging to boxing, yes. After that, no more Oscar fights, but we will possibly get some good matched fights from him due to him concentrating on promotions. I hope.

I'd watch it on ESPN2 or HBO or somethin'. Only way I'd pay to see it is if it was the undercard to a decent PPV like Cotto-Marg 2 or somethin' that kinda' matters.

I've been trying to tell people this for a long time, but they dont get it. They still seem to think that Oscar is the Oscar of 1996. The Oscar of 2008, wouldnt steamroll over Chavez Jr. He didnt steamroll over Forbes and he got his Golden Butt steamrolled over Pacman. It would be a pretty close match up. And at LEAST 900,000 buys, more if they lower the price to 34.95. :rasta

But still boring as sin and both fighters suck and need to retire.

Chavez Jr. is only 22, amigo. Isn't he too young to leave his boxing career?
It's not the old man but the Junior. People will get excited the "REVENGE" factor, don't you think so?

I want Oscar vs Tito in their farewell fight, but the weight is a problem in making this happen. Let's settle the score baby

IIRC Chavez announced his retirement last year because he wasn't happy with his progress (and rightfully so) and neither were his "fanbase". Regrettably, he changed his mind.

I don't care if people get excited over some stupid Pro Wrestling angle, it's going to be a shitty fight.

why does chavez Jr need to retire, hes still young and can box recreationally if he chooses but the talks of him being a champion and a force in the sport definetely needs to end.
