"Mayweather found a way out" I'm not interested in a rematch. The business was finished before it started. Mayweather has 0 obligation. Some people are saying if Ortiz gets a hold of a title, maybe. My position on that has always been that I don't blame fighters for gunning for a title. Another position is I like it when guys we know are better clean up the ABC mess by stomping the lesser men walking around with a strap. I couldn't argue with the fight, if Ortiz bounces back with a title. But, I wouldn't be particularly interested in it.

the thing is even before headbutt fiasco then knockout, While Ortiz was making an attempt to smother Floyd, his punches were not landing, Floyd was too damn accurate......and was whippin his ass on the score cards, it was not even close....

Ortiz was and is too green for May

The rematch won't sell as well, unless Ortiz strings together a few nice wins. He needs to start with the Berto rematch and knock him out to drum up some interest again.

I thought the fight was getting interesting and it was obvious that Victor wasn't going to back down from Mayweather. Somebody was going to get stopped (probably Ortiz) which doesn't usually happen in Mayweather fights.

I would rather see these two rematch than Floyd fight another lightweight or damn near 40 year old. In other words, a rematch offers more drama than whoever Floyd fights next (since we all know that won't be Pac).

I really dont get all the hate on ortz in the mayweather fight. It seems everyone is making it out to be that ortiz was getting his ass kicked the whole fight, which isnt true at all. I've watched the fight numerous times and dont get the where people are coming from. He won round 2 on lederman's card and if the fight played out he wouldve won round 4, making it an even fight at that point. Mayweather bruised up his eye alittle bit, but none of his punches were effecting ortiz and they werent slowing him down at all. Granted mayweather wouldve most likely won the fight anyway, but ortiz by no means was getting his ass kicked at any time. Floyd was just potshotting as usual. I personally would love to see a rematch just to see the fight flesh out and by the way im a mayweather fan so im not saying all this just because i hate him and want to defend ortiz.
