what are you saying "a risk like that" Adamek is past his best days anyways and to top it off he is tailor made for Hopkins. This is a high-reward / low risk fight for BHop and a legacy builder.
No I don't. Just because Hopkins put on a show against PAvlik doesn't mean that his other fights will be impressive.. He's going to go back to his dull and boring ways. Was really exciting in his prime but he's boring now. Id rather see Adamek fight Haye or a cunningham rematch. Those would be alot more exciting.
Yep perfect style matchup for Hop.Hops has always crushed stalkers, punchers. I don't see Adamek ever getting off.Remember the Dawson fight,Adamek hasn't gotten any better and Bhops D is way tighter than Dawson. Adamek is good but keep him away from boxers
You have been spouting this BS forever. He's not at his natural weightclass, but is still at his best reflex and skill wise. Adamek in fact looked better in terms of defence and boxing skill last night, than he ever has in his whole career (maybe tied with the Ulrich fight). Adamek is at his peak, just fighting above his natural weightclass.
Adamek is absolutely, positively at his peak--right now! Even still, as a fan of both Adamek and Hopkins, I don't want to see this fight. For what it's worth, I think Hopkins finds a way to win, but an Adamek victory would not surprise me in the least.
Hopkins can outbox Adamek. In fact, that is what I think would happen, but make no mistake--it wouldn't be easy. Also, if Adamek can find a way to hurt Hopkins, which he certainly has the power to do, it could be very, very interesting. I'll take Hopkins, something along the lines of 115-113, 115-113, 114-113.
Think of it this way: only a mega-wad of cash will convince Dawson to rematch Adamek, as Chad doesn't feel like moving up just yet. IF Adamek beats Hopkins (it's a huge risk, I agree), then he's got that cash ready for Chad, just 1 fight from today. It's Adamek's only chance at revenge, to put it best (that's if you want him in there with Dawson again, like most of his fans do). I guess the other chance is for Tomasz to get RJJ in the ring with him, but I don't see Roy wanting to do that in this day and age.
Good point. I guess in a worse case scenario, even if Adamek lost to Hopkins, as long as he was competitive (which I am certain he would be) he should be able to rebound, and that WOULD be a way for him to lure Dawson into the ring. I confess, as someone who has never liked Roy, I would love nothing more than to watch Adamek lay a beat down on him. :smoke
I wanna see Hop - Dawson. I why Hop wants Adamek though, he thinks it's easier to outbox him and would get more respect for beating some one bigger.
