Do you want to see Joe fight RJJ or Pavlik?

Neither really... It's not even a certainty that Pavlik can hang with a SMW, much less someone who weighs like a light Heavy on fight night with the speed of a light MW.

RJJ is too old, his assets have been taken away by father time, and this matchup only holds some sentimental value.

 

Do you really think that Bob Arum, who without blinking doesn't allow Pavlik to fight Winky at 160, will allow Kelly to fight Calzaghe at 168? Arum protects his money fighters, the fight will never happen. Arum probably thinks to himself: why take a huge risk against Calzaghe when Kelly can rule up to 175 after Joe retires at the end of the year ? For that same reason, Pacman against Marquez 3 will probably never happen.

 

neither..but if i was made to choose i'll go with pavlik. pavlik hasn't fought guys bigger than him and still green the other one(jones) is already shot as hell

 

i originally wanted an RJJ fight, but too be honest i think pavlik would be a greater challenge, his right hands may cause joe problems, i still predict UD to joe but it will be a great fight IMO

 

I would rather see Calzaghe fight Pavlik than Jones.
Pavlik is young and expected to beat Calzaghe due to his power and workrate.
That would give Joe more cred IMO, than Jones at this age.
I´m confident though, that Joe´s boxing skills and ring smartness will be too much for Pavlik.

Pavlick because it adds to Joe's legacy and Jones could potentially damage it because Calzaghe will be remembered as the guy who beat an old jones and an old hopkins.

Without looking at the poll results Im going to say that Pavlik is a landslide winner here.

Kelly vs Joe is an interresting fight, I think that Joes fight vs Hopkins showed us that Joe would have some major problems with Kelly's right hand. Another thing that would be interresting about this fight is watching Joe being forced backwards, and having to punch off of his back foot.

Jones vs Calzaghe is a fight that should have happened about 8 or 9 years ago when Joe was offered the shot to fight Jones, its still an interresting fight, but more of a senior tour fight. Which im going to be honest I think that is were Joe should be fighting now, he has earned the right to fight for big money. And taking on the young guys isnt really going to bring the big money that fighting Jones will bring. Another fight I would love to see is Joe vs Johnson, another fight that should have happened some time ago.

 

Neither but if I had to choose, I'd go with RJJ, for purely selfish reasons as I'd like to watch Roy fight live once before he retires in a packed stadium arena.

I'd have a hard time supporting either fighter though, too much respect for Roy and I wouldn't like to see Calzaghe beat in his (possibly) last fight.

A Jones fight does nothing for Calzaghe apart from line his pockets and potentially damage his legacy.
