Based on how many fights Mayweather has left coupled with the assumption that he will probably fight differently and have an easier time in the rematch, I'd rather see him fight someone different but I wouldn't be disappointed either way.

Nope, Maidana did the best he could, fouls and all , and still loss, a rematch is unnecessary

well we no we aint gettin pac
    khan cant fight in sept.

looks like brook/porter are gunna be fighting
danny garcia is fighting in july an its at 140 anyways.

best 147 that deserves the chance is keith thurman.
an thurman always makes it clear that he wants to fight mayweather.
just like canelo and guerrero.. an khan almost got mayweather by doing that.

i would like mayweather vs thurman if anything.

From both a fans perspective and business like perspective I think a Mayweather-Maidana rematch would be a very good ideal. I mean who else can Floyd fight this upcoming September 13, 2014 that can automatically gaurantee him 1-million plus PPV buys.

Amir Khan: Will be celebrating his Ramadan, (I hope I spelled it correctly) in September thus taking a Mayweather-Khan fight out of the equation at least until next year, May 2, 2015.

Manny Pacquaio: 1. Has a fight already scheduled for November of this year before his current contract with Top Rank runs out versus the winner of Marquez-Alvarado
    2. Pac's current promoter Bob Arum doesn't want to do the fight between Pacquaio-Mayweather.

The winner of Sergio Martinez-Miguel Cotto on June 7 will not be available simply because 3-months is not enough time to get ready for another major superfight, muchless a bigger one, in September against Mayweather.

Bernard Hopkins: 3-months is not enough time for B-Hop to get his weight down to 160 lbs for Floyd and a Mayweather-Hopkins encounter, if it were actually to become a reality, is a fight that would happen beyond Floyd's current PPV contract with Showtime.

Canelo Alvarez: Fights in July on PPV so he's automatically unavailable.

Danny Garcia, Erislandy Lara, Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Kell Brook and GGG, just to name a few simply aren't big enough draws as of yet.

So the only reasonable way to go eventually is a Mayweather-Maidana rematch which will probably bring in more numbers than the first fight did and I'm guessing it did more than well.

    No:

1- Maidana was supposed to be a mismatch. He's totally unskilled and barely able to punch straight. Nobody serious gave him 2 cents about beating Floyd.

2- In the rematch the judges and the referee will be even more crooked, scoring a wide decision no matter who dies in the ring and allowing Mayweather to use all the elbows and the forearming even concievable, while continuosly detracting points to Maidana for the smallest things.

3- There is no way on earth Maidana gets the win. Even if he kos Floyd, it'll be scored a draw, as they say.

Not really. Floyd will box and when 12-0. The ref cut maidana alot of slack in the fight. The next ref Won't!

Yes, but only after Floyd-Pac and after Maidana scores at least one big win to prove he deserves a second chance.
