If someone can emerge as the top dog in the division relatively soon that I'd like to see Ward challenge him.

 

I would love to see SOB Ward fight Kovalev in neutral venue, with neutral judges, referee, boxing commission, they we would see him get knocked out! I think SOB should fight Kovalev in Moscow with Russian judges, referree and boxing commission, after all, Kovalev fought SOB with American judges, referee, boxing commission and venue! SOB cheats, but if he can't cheat, he loses! I hope everyone reviews that fight!

I'm not sure, i think it will be worse than fight with Kovalev, it seems that Beterbiev looks like a snack for the Ward, Beterbiyev will not be able to keep Ward in the distance.

 

I respect him for going out on a high point and on his terms, and if his commitment isn't in it hope for his sake he stays retired. But I'd love to see him come back and take on the best light heavyweights still out there to prove himself even greater. Ward is a hall of famer sure and the last win over Kovalev was massive, but fact is his resume doesn't quite measure up to his ability, which I say as a fan.

Bivol and Beterbiev are of course two different styles yet both would be difficult, intriguing challenges for him to dissect and outbox. If either beat Kovalev it would become big. Plus there's always Stevenson. It would be really exciting to see him cap off his career with a finale of a few more big fights, and go off into the sunset as not just one of the best of his era but get in the conversation as a true ATG.

 

my suspicion is he will return for a "weak" hw titleholder like the one jones jnr faced.

u r right, Zaghes did cheat to win against hopkins, otherwise he was looking at a ko lossin 1 - but I dont hold it against him.

 

I hope he retires from commentating as well.
