I don’t believe he needs to comeback this thread supports that. Those who envy what he’s accomplished in the ring and how he’s managed to separate himself from conformity whilst still being successful speaks volumes.

Style wise he wasn’t my favorite but what he was able to create in the ring without appeaseing every robotic standardized 1,2 boxing casual must be commended. People laughed at Willie Pep for his antics in the ring and despised Armstrong for his mauling style and now revisionists idolize them never forgetting to include their names in any ATG listing.

If Ward did comeback he dismantles Artur and Adonis....the only person I think that has a decent shot is Gvozdyk because of his youth and strength maybe and surprisingly enough Jack because of his determination.

Yes. Beterbiev can't beat him right now. Stevenson, has the best chance of beating Ward and I don't think that he can win. I'd love for him to come back.

And if you're a boxing fan saying "no" then you're not a true boxing fan.

My apologies. If you have come to terms with the whooping GGG put on Canelo, then who am I to pick at old wounds? Have a great day further!:beer-toast1:

Joe Calzaghe is the true ATG. I don't know how you consider Ward an ATG but not Calzaghe.

You can make an argument for both and I couldn’t stand Joe Calzaghe. Separating your discontent for a fighters style and recognizing their overall effectiveness in the ring can sometimes be insanely difficult but it can be done.

you are right to pull me up - neither can be an ATG yet. Ward as its too early, given that his career surely isnt over yet, and Joe because although he is finished he didnt do anything "great" - Ward did many times.

    thank you for that.

I'd like to rephrase then if you dont mind, under your auspices - surely anyone would want a top boxer like ward to come back to attempt to cement a future ATG status..
