Golden boy and Lemieux seems to have a good relationship. Could a business proposal be made to have Canelo and Lemieux spar/fight seriously with the intention of giving Canelo an idea to his standing as a mw fight at 160 as he and his team seems to be questioning.

I'm sure they've sparred, and I'm sure Canelo has sparred several MWs.

Besides GGG, I don't see many big $$$ fights at MW. At Jr. MW he has several options including WWs who are ready to move up to 154.

No need to move up to a DEAD division.

MW has more big money fights than 154. If he wants a welterweight that's moving up he can just do what he did to Khan and have it at 155.

Any reports from the sparring and is it the reason Canelo is hesitant about fighting at 160? You think he can go back to lmw with ease?

    He's a SLOW plodder at 155.

He looked like a CORPSE at 152 vs a 36 yo Mayweather.

He was only 22 y/o and couldnt move his arms above his waist.

    He's a MW you knucklehead.

    The Charlos would smoke him.
Lara already beat him clearly if the judges didnt score his hip shots and punches to Laras elbows.
Can you imagine the beatdown he'd get if boiled down to 154 and fought Andrade?

His body is telling him it's time to forget about LMW. NTM, Al Haymon owns that division, and isnt going to simply feed his Champions to Yeller so they can be robbed on HBO by GBPs judges. :patsch

Yeller should fight someone like Soro or Khurtsidze next and prove he's a top 5 MW.
I think he could probably beat Lee, possibly beat NDam, and maybe even be able to use his countering to stave off and outpoint Lemiuex.

It's past time he moved to his current natural weight class. He doesnt NEED GGG to prove he's a solid MW contender/titlist.

He can wait GGG out by bringing solid unattached guys like Andrade to 160, Smith to 160, or fighting solid top 10s like Lemiuex, Lee, Heiland and Monroe without having to fight with Haymon over venue and officials. :-(

My bad.. i read your post wrong. GGG is definitely the biggest money fight he could get and that's at 160. I'd think the rest whether 54 or 60 would be similar paydays

At 152 he was fighting one of the most if not the most defensive fighter of the last 20 something years since Pernell Whitaker retired.

How the falk did you expect 22 year old Canelo to look??

Saul Alvarez is a natural counter puncher not a stalker. At 154 and 155 he didn't look great stalking down Lara or Khan because they fought very defensive and were both moving and using their feet WAY more than what we are accustomed seeing them do.

Against fighters that bring the fight to him he looked GREAT!!

If he moves up to MW and KTFO GGG like I know he will, then what? Fight Euro bums and Ameri bums like GGG? No falking thank you!!! I would rather him stay at 154 and force the champs there to fight him and wait for talent to evetually move up.

In case anyone hasn't seen, GB have announced Canelo will fight Sept 17 at MGM, AT&T, or maybe MSG.

Sounds an awful lot like one of those artificial deadlines he's so fond of.

May and Sept were Oscar De La Hoya's dates, he then passed those dates to Mayweather when he retired, and now Canelo uses those dates.

    May = 5 de Mayo
    Sept 16= MX independence day

  12. + May 18 = surrender day.

Canelo ain't coming no where near to knocking out GGG and you know it. As for forcing anyone at 154 to fight him, well I beg to differ, those gents are chopping at the bit to get at his ass. Canelo is in between a rock and a hard place.

    :good

:p OSCAR has simply ruined the market for Canelo. Canelo will be lucky to draw flies since surrendering the WBC belt.
