Looks like a classic case of he said he said. Consdering Cintron's history, I tend to believe the doctor here. He said he asked Cintron TWICE if he could continue and both times Kermit replied, "No."

From the angle I saw he landed right on his head when he flipped through the ropes. I doubt he would have just threw the fight like that, especially after he was having a good round and fighting hard

I believe the doctor. It seems pretty obvious that Cintron didn't want to get up. If Cintron wanted to continue all he had to do was get up

WRONG. He clearly states it had nothing to do with landing on his head, and only that the wind was knocked out of him.

I said this on Saturday night:

"Also, the doc. does not arbitrarilly stop the fight unless the injury is so obviously apparent and bad, like an extreme cut. Cintron had no visible injury so the dr. had to make his decision based on the answers to the questions he asked Cintron. He probably asked Cintron can you move? Are you hurt, where are you hurt? And can you continue? Since the ref stopped the fight based on the docs assessment it is more than likely that Cintron's answers gave the doc the impression that Cintron could not or was not willing to continue."

Low and behold it was true.

Figures. If you were at the fight it was very apparent he was milking it.

Not surprised, it boggles the mind that anyone could have thought he was too injured to continue. Jesus, I've had far, far worse landing like that on concrete and I've jumped back up. He's not a delicte flower physically, he's just a PUTO!
