Does a cut like Kelly's

Nothing to do with cut. He got beat up. Exact how I saw the fight beforehand. Flashy Kelly looking great but the experience and toughness beating that. Great fight for Kelly though it will stand him in good stead

 

Could you imagine how long it would take to organise lol

While I almost totally agree with this post, I think last night he did scrap it out - albeit maybe reluctantly. He only folded mentally when he folded physically. If anything, after he got cut he mixed it too much, although admittedly that wasn't entirely through choice. I fear he's gonna be remembered as a gym legend...

 

He got beat fair and square.

Champions overcome adversity, Kelly doesn't have that in him. It's no slight on him as 99% of people don't have it either. Talent only takes you half way, if you don't have the mental resilience and will, you'll come unstuck.

 

I'd wager that its the shock of seeing that much blood that makes people feel weak from head cuts, not actual blood loss, plus no doubt the trauma from the event that caused the cut.

Kelly just got beaten up.

 

If the cut had not happened he might have lasted 2-3 more rounds.

But Avanesyan would still have broken him down and stopped him even without any cut.

The brutal body shots that all the commentators missed were actually the key factor in causing him to unravel, and stop him. Not a cut at the back of the head.
