I'm not sure... Freddie Roach recently said he thinks Roger is a better trainer than Floyd Sr.

Also, I've read some people mention Danny Garcia should drop his father and go to Robert Garcia's gym to train.

Do you think it's better for a fighter not to train with his dad as there's a certain emotional attachment involved to an extent. Or hire a well known top respected trainer such as say a top name like an Ingle, Roach, Mayweather, Hunter, Garcia, Sanchez, Shields,..etc..

The dad is more likely to look out for the fighters well being.

But I don't know if he's the best option for trainer. It depends on how good a trainer he is.

It depends. Iirc, Roy jones did well with his father for a long period of time.

It all depends on the motivation the boxer needs, and usually A father knows his son best, or someone close to you.

I don't really separate floyd snr, or roger, when referring to floyd, they both have been there a long time.

I can't think of many case where I thought that the fighter couldn't have done better with a different trainer than their father.
