Nah, I think I saw this video on the popular page of reddit about a few weeks ago.

As far as I can tell, interval training as an idea came about in the mid-1800s, in running. It seems, in that sport at least, post WW2 was when it became what we would recognise as what we use today; a dude called Emil Zatopek "really propelled interval training to the forefront as the main training method to prepare distance runners."

I don't have anything peer reviewed, but i'd bet this is where the acorns for its adoption in fighting comes from.

You mean workouts where you are alternating the tempo between easy rhythm and intense bursts?
    I'm sure they did.

Again, I am under no obligation to commit to that claim. *You* need to show that the surge of interest is founded upon solid evidence of its efficacy, if indeed that's what you claim. I have not the slightest onus to disprove this. One more time, all empirical claims are false by default. I don't have to prove a damn thing.

What is the referent of "this"?
Are you playing the old word game of, "If evidence is so important, what's your evidence of this"?
If so, I'm about 178 steps ahead of you.

Nope. My training is in actual logic, not sophistry.

I don't think you really get it.

At the very least this place isn't what you think it is.

But rest assured, i'm making these posts for people other than yourself; i have no exception of you fulfilling commitments or obligations to my posts.

    *sigh...*
So you want me to prove that you can't legitimately claim to have science on your side without citing scientific evidence? Is that what this has come down to?

I just proved it. Can you prove I didn't prove it? Well I just proved that I proved it, can you prove I didn't?

We could go on like this for as long as you like...
