Wlad doesn't look 41 , does he? I have to say, even putting the 'Youth vs. Experience' aspect aside, the intrigue of this match-up is undeniable.
Definitely a pick em fight! I've got the boys coming round, bought some beer today.Going to have a house full.
Notice how close the pad holder has to stand in front of Wlad. To compensate dwindling speed and explosiveness. I have to say, they're making some pretty decent lemonade out of rotting lemons.
Am I the only one that feels tomorrows fight is going to be a complete waste of time? Klitscko isn't beating father time nor is he growing a pair of balls overnight. I think its going to be a 'silent agreement' type of fight and the fight is already fixed.
I used to be a fan of Stevenson around the time he won the belt, but since then he's become a complete and utter irrelevant non entity to me. His little stunt after the Pascal fight pretty much explains why we've never seen him fight Kovalev.
I have to agree. Physically, Wlad looked like he had slipped against Fury, slipped in that classic "can't hit the openings" way that older fighters slip. It wasn't what Fury was doing and it was so tell-tale because we have all seen it a hundred times. You don't roll back the odometer at that point. I hope I'm wrong but this could be ugly.
I remember a question was once asked of Angelo Dundee if a fight between Marciano and Wladimer Klitscho would be a mismatch. He said yes, Marciano would kill him. I was a little stunned considering the sizes but he said there were things Marciano knew how to do against bigger fighters to negate their advantage and that quickness was Marciano's nemesis. As for Joshua, he has potential, that's a French word for ,ain't done **** yet.
