With the overall consensus been that its an easy night for DLH , im not so sure. Can Oscar be effective at 147 at his age , will he be too weight drained to perform , say as well as he did against PBF at 154 or will he simply not need too ?

Oscar could've lost 47 hours of sleep and still come in victorious...

He's sadly just too ****in' big...I've learned my lesson in betting for David when it comes to fighting Goliath...

****...even DAVID cheated in that fight...using a rock does not constitute a legit victory

The only story of mythical proportions I've ever heard where a character uses his wit and speed to defeat an opponent with much more strength and advantage is that of the gryphon...

The gryphon is that lion eagle bird...It once carried out an epic battle with a dragon and a chimara (a beast that can see in all directions and fierce strength)

The gryphon first watched the dragon and Chimara fight...after much careful study he found their weaknesses and used his strengths against them...

Since the Dragon's greatest strengths was his fire-breath, he fooled the dragon into fighting him underwater and thus eliminated his greatest assest...defeated him...moved on

Since the Chimara was capable of seeing ALL of his foe's movements, the Gryphon buried itself underground and traveled its way underneath the Chimara and struck its underbelly with a fatal blow and defeated two of the most fierce creatures of its kingdom...

This is the tale that is told when asked why it is coveted on so many flags, shields and plaques of honor and bravery...

The question is...will Manny be as witty and tactical as the gryphon...has he studied the weakness of DLH...

or will he burn out and die like the rest?

I always favor the underdog, but know that this is not a world of dragons and happy endings...this is a sad awful place filled with ugly truth and sadly...that means that Pacquiao will fall martyr to his cause to seeking the highest glory...DEFIANCE!

    Ha ha great post! :good

I too will be routing for the underdog Manny ' The Gryphon ' Pacquiao ! , Pac will go out with his Shield. As usual , and iv been stung before betting on the underdog , the heart rules the head! , still clinging on to some faint hope that Oscar will fall to David , er i mean Pac.

I don't believe DLH will be weight-drained. Especially since he apparently was already below 147 2-3 weeks before the fight. IMO going down that weight early in training camp would most likely only make him get used to that weight and be comfortable.

i hope this thread is not another prelude to the excuses that will inevitably come out if by some miracle pac manages to pull this off. it's already starting and there's still a few days left before the actual fight. just goes to show that some people here will never give pac credit for anything no matter what he does. :verysad :-(
