I don't know the answer. If I were an Abraham fan I would be concerned about Abraham's backward style, and the consistent pressure of Pavlik. But at the same time this same idea could work in the opposite direction. A very interesting fight. I hope it happens. - Jason
Anyone that knows AA and Pavlik closely should know that Abraham is a much more devastating puncher than Pavlik.
Yes. I'd say thats pretty clear. He's also a better counter puncher. A good counters always going to more effective then a good stright shot. Miranda's probably a heavier hitter then Kelly only he can't fight off the back foot. So it didn't matter cause Kelly came forward all night.
It doesnt matter who hits harder, i dont see AA beating Pavlik. No f-cking way!!!!!! Pavlik brutalizes Abraham.
A fight between those two could easily be the next great trilogy. With a fight with Calz thrown in for the winner in between. Pantera was totally destroyed by both. I'll take Pav b/c of the volume, accuracy and thud of all of his punches. :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb :bbb
AA has more one punch power. KP has power in every single shot he throws. AA just has power when he winds up haymakers and they are counter haymakers so that adds to the effect of a KO. With Pavlik, you see the punches coming and he knocks you out anyway. AA is more so power counters.
"Counter haymaker" is an oxymoron. It ain't no haymakers. AA knows what he is doing. AA has some risky style - may not work against KP covering up that long. But we already know that KP can be put down. I will pay to watch and would not bet much for either fighter. One question is who will have harder time making 160.
I think Abraham has more one punch knockout power, that fight is somewhat of a toss-up to me. They both knocked out Miranda.
