I think Pavlik can bring by himself 100k PPV buys and the fact that it would be a unification bout can generate double or triple that. I'm sure that the press tour would be great ... in US and Europe ... the promotion of the fight ... TopRank would do a great job of that.

I thought the plan all along was for the US. That is why AA is coming here to fight Miranda. Build up name recognition. There was intitial reports of AA being on Pav's undercard against Duddy. AA proved a lot of people wrong when he called up Miranda to make the second fight. I dont' think AA thinks he needs home court advantage and is out to prove it.

Yep, the plan is to break into the US market. Very logica choice. The only meaningful fight in Germany is of corse the big fight vs. Sturm, but it was Sauerland who really interested in the fight and Universum not:Katic knows exactly the result, also the finishing blow: the brutal Abraham uppercut.

So the logical step-up is the Pavlik fight, but for that, he had to get HBO's or Showtime's support - and the Miranda rematch is the fight where he can gain a lot...

Since Pavlik's fan base is big enough to sell-out a typical LV arena, it should be in the US... But everything depends on what Sauerland can offer... there's very, VERY serious TV and sponsor money behind German promotions, so I think Sauerland could make an offer Arum couldn't refuse and HBO could still televise - but Las Vegas is the place where this historical MW match-up should be.

LV sucks, MSG would be the logical choice - easier to go to for both fanbases...but don't get overboard just yet - Abraham will have his most important fight ahead of him, next weekend vs. Miranda...so stop speculating on a KP fight before this fight isn't decided... :deal

    Exactly!

A big fight coming up in Edison's hometown, before his crowd, judges and of course in his division!

He still walks away title in hand. If I were marketing it, I would play that fact to the hilt, either way. No shame to step up against the bigger guy to test your self and lose. Better hype if he wins no doubt. :D Still a unification bout.

Kelly has made Atlantic City his home.... Even if Abraham doesn't look so good against Edison, it would still do well in AC... But you might get a bigger crowd in Germany....

No chance in HELL Arum would let the fight happen in Germany. This is all hupothetical anyway since Pavlik is not going to want to fight him after he gets his ass beat in 6 days!! :hey

After watching a few of Abrahams fights only a few hours ago....this fight could be in Abrahams backyard, frontyard or in the basement, no matter where it is Abraham will get seriously ****ed up..
Before I thought it would be a good competitive fight but after watching the Miranda fight along with a few other recent fights it won't even be close

Pavlik slaughters Abraham by the 8th round

Outside of the hardcore boxing fan,
nobody in America knows who Abraham is.

    Same situation with Calzaghe.

Yeah Abraham Just does not have the chin or skin to fight Pavlik. I say Pavlik stops him on cuts in round 2.
