Does Adam Booth teach his fighter to fight scared?

Booth did fine. Haye fought well just couldn't adapt. If ahye sticks to boxing and does not retire I think he can improve and be heavyweight champion again.

 

Not Booth's fault TBH I Felt Haye was naturally scared you can't teach that If you could Bob Sapp would be a millionaire.

 

Haye was fighting under huge size disadvantages.

His only way to win was to fight on the back foot.

Scared is Clottey covering up from round one against a guy is has the size and strength advantage over. Scared is Mosley running around the ring o avoid a smaller man.

I'm not sure that standing in front of the heavyweight champion with a ridiculously high KO%, with your hands by your waist and your chin in the air inviting him to punch you is really the behaviour of a scared man.

All that happened was Haye found out like the rest of Wlad's opponents that the theory and the practice of beating him are too different things. He couldn't close the distance because of Wlads ring generalship, jab and defence. That's why he had resorted to lunging in with wild amateur punches, leaving himself wide open.

I didn't see CLottey or Mosley launching themselves at Pacquaio in a desparate attempt to score a KO.

Let's keep a little perspective here. A good 'smaller' man was beaten by a very good 'bigger' man. Styles and skills make fights and this was the most likely scenario outside of a KO for Wlad. Everytime people on here start criticising Wlad's opponents for 'fightin scared' they're completely ignoring everything good that WLad does in a fight.

Do you not think it's a coincidence that apparently all of Wlad's opponents fight scared? No - they do as much as WLad will allow them to do.

 

booth is more of a tactician than a skill/fundementals coach, he's great at making gameplans but not great at teaching technique, roach, steward and shields are the best at that.
