He absolutely does. There are an incredibly large amount of very vociferous Usyk fans on this website and if Joshua beats him without any funny business (really bad scoring, Usyk breaks his arm) they will give AJ the credit he deserves for beating a great fighter.
definitely. from me anyway. he would do what i dont believe he can do. i couldnt believe how tactically bad aj fought the first time. it had never even occurred to me that he would come in trying to outbox the faster, more technically adept fighter. i know garcia aint that stupid, and hes gonna be honest with his fighter in the corner. if usyk beats him when properly prepared, then he is a greater fighter than i have ever given him credit for.
just realized i got the question backwards, lol. then not as much as others might. in my estimation, aj is suppose to beat usyk. he would just be showing up to a fight he was absent for last time.
Usyk looks a tad overweight. I think it will affect his speed and stamina. Joshua will likely win on Saturday, and he will definitely deserve some credit. It will be interesting to see who Joshua fights after Usyk. Wilder would be very good. Perhaps he'll face his WBA mandatory Dubois, or his IBF mandatory-to-be Hrgovic or his WBO mandatory-to-be Joyce? Joyce would be dangerous, he has a strong chin and is a strong puncher. Joshua is underrated by some, but he's evidently beatable.
Yes, he would, or at least should. He’s by no means the favourite with the bookies or on this forum but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he beats Usyk. So he should deserve credit particularly after the way in which he lost the first fight. If he’s made the necessary game plan and technical adjustments who knows - I personally don’t think he has and whilst he may do ‘better’ this time but overall Usyk is just all wrong for him IMHO.
Depends on if Usyk looks the same or not come fight night. We all know Usyk might have been affected by the war so time will tell
Why wouldn’t he?? Usyk is currently ranked as P4P #1 or 2 by most(should be unanimous #1) and will go down in history of one of the GREAT overall fighters of this era.. A win over him would be great for how AJs career would be perceived historically..
It depends, what you guys are calling beating ? Some MF'ers were saying that Chisora beat Usyk, just because he was bullying him for the first 3 rounds.
Depends on the nature of the victory. A robbery? Obviously not. Usyk being visibly worse? Nah. A legit win? Yeah he'll get some credit for beating a guy no one fancied going in to the first fight who he has aged for another year. But whatever happens I guarantee the wider boxing public will be riding him hard again regardless of the manner of victory and give him far more credit than they have Usyk the past year.
Not on here, I think. Excuses will be made for Usyk. And just any kind of decision win will be called a robbery.
