If he boxes more thats good news for everyone else, gas tank comes in to play with Joshua if you pressure him
He was rocked by a lot of them shots he apparently showed a good chin. Klitchko shut him down for 5 rounds by hurting him. Ruiz done the same but ruiz had age on his side. Guys in their prime will finish him off if they get him hurt like that. Dillan whyte had him going you can actually see the moment he pulls his shoulder going in for the kill. I actually think joshuas chins as bad as bruno,s. Bruno took good shots as well in his career. But theres similarities. The only real difference is joshuas mind stays on. Whereas Franks shut down completely when he was hurt. Tbf its a big difference...but joshuas physical tools leave him for too long when hurt. Guys have a window of opertunity thats too long at that level. Opponents should know that by now. Joshuas now in a much more dangerous position as he once was. Almost every game plan was be defensive thinking he would tire later on then they might get him. The problem was joshua doesnt really tire much without hurting him. And he,ll get you with something with his power before it gets that far. Guys like molina/parker tried that. The game plan now should be throw big. I like joshua. Its a big weakness tho...tbf in amongst a lot of strengths.
If someone can get him to throw more(Ruiz if he was fit with pressure) then i think he'd fall apart if someone was on him, he'd gas. Left alone to move and dictate at a distance then id agree, but thats ****ed when it comes to Fury with his skills and movement and belief, he'll have Joshua doubting in loads of areas
His chin is fine but even it it wasn’t he’s already beaten opponents well above all their levels. Absolutely insane take from you pal.
I was just saying his legs do a little chicken dance similar to Khan, nothing more, nothing less.. Jeez, of course his chin isn't on khan's level, not many fighters are lol
If my auntie had balls she’d be my uncle. AJ beat a seasoned obviously past it but still a top 4 heavyweight Povetkin. I think the Povetkin that fought AJ would have sparked Wilder inside 6 rounds.
Klitschko. You telling me Klitschko isn’t world class? Who else would have beat him the night AJ fought him? Fury was 400 lbs and eating a kebab every night during that fight. Wilder would have got sparked by Wlad inside 4.
Bruno wouldn’t have taken any of those big right hands from Wlad without being stopped about 30 seconds later so obviously AJ has a better chin since he can keep his senses in place. Bruno shuts down and can’t defend himself every time he’s caught with something big. Joshua can.
But if he throws more he will probably stop anyone he can land on. I'd see your point if Joshua was a powder-puff puncher but there are very few fighters out there that would willingly want to exchange with AJ. Ruiz had the right tools - fast hands, power of his own and a great chin to take the AJ bombs and win the exchanges but how many fighters like that are out there? Very few.
Got to say yh AG does have a weakness in his chin seen much worse and much better.. Compairing it to khan bit below the belt bro, been wobbled and fired back when hurt in the past. Definitely his biggest concern I'll give you. Think fury is very likely to test his chin again if he is in the same shape he came into the wilder 2 fight. Only really see that one going Fury's way
The mods will tell you Hunter since quite a few seem to be big fans of him and overestimate his ability. I can’t think of any other heavyweights who could trade with AJ and take his flush shots and explosive inside power. Fury would be dropped and be given a 10 count if he took a clean combo from AJ. Wilder isn’t even an inside fighter and doesn’t punch in combos. Parker has the chin to take it but not the ability to be competitive on the inside and trade against AJ. Whyte and Povetkin would both be sparked again. It’s really only Ruiz that can pull it off.
