You were talking the UK market and there is no evidence to suggest that Wilder would do anymore PPV's than Parker did..

Sky and matchroom have been advertising Wilder for a while now. He is one of a handful of fighters who actually gets recognition on sky, now its time to make the fight he is a bum who doesnt deserve anything.

Yes, I am talking the UK PPV market, and Wilder does way more buys than Parker did. Are you dumb?, seriously? Are you missing something upstairs?

The poll results say it all.

    Lol @ @Mr Icaman and @OpinionOfACasual

Here's Hearn (who's been trying to downplay the financials) stating categorically as anyone with a brain cell can testify, that Joshua/Wilder will smash all UK PPV records EVEN if it's at 5am. Skip to 5.30..

Some of your comments were ridiculous, claiming there's no evidence wilder will do more buys than Parker as he doesn't have history as a PPV fighter and he is as well known as Takam!! Try be objective or you just lose all credibility.

Your #L will be sealed as soon as this fight as made.

Some people blaming Joshua side, some people blaming Wilders side and some are blaming both sides for this nonsense that is going on and all in the hope of ballooning the interest in the fight when it eventually happens. I am just blaming Wilders side, im not convinced they want it at all but thats just my opinion and at the end of the day there is no doubt that the nonsense is great promotion world wide no matter who is to blame.

I think the UK market is pretty close to being maxed out give or take small numbers. His sales chart is pretty steady no matter who he fighting. But anybody willing to pay for a Joshua fight will pay for this one. It will do better numbers than Takam, Parker and be around the Klitchko figures and quite possibly higher. But i dont think it will be a big jump because his numbers are already amazing and at times world record breaking.

What gets me so much is over the years ive had to read, understand and accept the facts about A sides and B sides and ive seen many a good fighter take a lowball offer because the rewards of victory really outshine the money at all. In this case it would be adding 3 world titles and becoming undisputed, becoming an overnight super star and a very good chance of being able to earn money like what Anthony Joshua has been earning in future fights as a global star of Boxing. And as far as lowball offers go, being offered 7 times more than your highest ever payday isnt the worst lowball offer ive ever heard. And Wilder should know all about lowballs he has hit his opponants with close to 90-10 splits before.

Im not saying Wilder shoulda accepted the 12.5, he should of been demanding a percentage split. But thats what meetings and negotiations are all about and they have come out and said they are all about not meeting and negotiating, not productive.

Both sides are no doubt in on it. At first I thought it was just Wilder's side that wanted it now but now I'm leaning to both sides are just wanting to string it out. As Hearn says himself, 'it's just a stage'.

The intention has always been for AJ to fight Miller next. That to me is blatantly obvious when you watch all of Hearn's interviews, nevermind Hearn's business dealings with Miller lately.

What a ridiculous comparison. Takam is a complete scrub that's never even been a top 15 fighter and never will be. Takam made $500,000, which is quite the accomplishment for somebody with his ability, but he shouldn't even be in conversation.

Parker while being a good fighter doesn't have Wilder's backing nor does he win in dynamic fashion like Wilder. Wilder won his WBC title by comply shutting out Stiverne in a lopsided decision win. Parker barely beat Ruiz for a vacant title.

Parker's team were exposed as novices by Hearn for being in such a rush to make such a bad deal. The Joshua-Parker PPV tanked, so Parker didn't come close to making the projected $13 million. Parker only made $7 million, which was less than Martin's $8.5 million.

Wilder vs Joshua is the biggest fight in boxing to be made in the sport the only thing that I can think that would sell better would be GGG vs Canelo 2.
    Honorable mentions:
    Jacobs vs Charlo
Canelo vs BJS in the UK
Spence vs Crawford won’t sell well

    flip it on its head
joshua got 300k viewers on normal showtime v parker
clearly joshua is not a draw in usa
    600k v wladimir

wilder got 1.1 million v ortiz on normal showtime

in the usa what do these figures equate to PPV wise
what would be the usa ppv price for this fight ?
at 60 dollars with 300 thousand buys that equates to 18 million usa not including casino subsidies and gate
    so 6 for casino
10 at outrageous prices for gate ?
not sure if outrageous prices are possible as tickets for wilder v ortiz were normal and you could still buy tickets a couple of days out

i struggle to see how fighters with those tv viewing numbers are going to generate the very large ppv numbers to make it an american fight

in fact i dont know what numbers sky got for parker in the uk have they been released ?
to my knowledge they have not /i looked at the first 2 google pages and did not notice a figure / i did not open the wikipedia page

i suspect they were not as great as expected and so have not been leaked/released.

either in the uk or usa i cannot see the $100 million figures talked about being realistic.

in fact i think it will do half of that
1.5 if nothing is on that weekend / it is 1.5 million ppv uk is 30 million £10 million gate
40 million uk if the fight is staged here at a 10.pm start time approx

and i see that as the absolute tops
1 million buys might be more realistic

    @SambaKing1

How can you claim that Wilder's side were the one that want it next, when it is they who are arranging their mandatory?

As for this whole Wilder v Parker/Takam situation......

We were basing this on a UK fight, so in the UK Wilder is just as irrelevant to the guys buying the PPV as Parker.

The fact Wilder's belt completes Joshua's collection is the 'draw', not Wilder.

If Breazeale beats Wilder, Joshua v Breazeale II in the UK for all the belts, does no less than Wilder.

    It's not difficult to understand.....

Look at this ladies and gentleman....

AJ-Breazeale 2 does the same buys as Wilder as long as Breazeale had the WBC title

Credibility shattered, if it wasn't already.
