fury withdrew shortly before the July 9th rematch date a with an "ankle injury" sustained in training, but has since come out and said he hasn't trained since May?

He was never going to go through with that date as he hadn't trained for it and his team wouldn't have allowed it so it seems the ankle injury would be extremely convenient if it was genuine.

All the while peter fury was lieing to paying fans saying camp was going great and everything was going to plan while people forked out for hotels etc knowing full well they were never going to fight. Or they are now lieing about having not trained since May. Either way it's disgraceful from a team who berate other fighters for pullouts.

This is the team who don't stop banging on about being the only real people in boxing, yet seem desperate to prove they are the biggest bunch of liars imaginable.

Not necessarily. Might have just got the dates mixed up when he was last in the gym being that May is right before June and Fury posted pictures of the injury.

There is also the fact he officially pulled out on the eve of Joshua's last fight, which getting headlines on the eve of a potential rivals fight is something Mayweather and Pacquiao often did for publicity. (Notice he also confirmed the fight days before Joshua v Martin too)

He probably has been in the gym since May, just not for any sustained length of time of with anything like full commitment.

I don't know why people expect Peter Fury to have said at press conferences "Oh, Tyson missed training this week, I don't know what's with him. There's a good chance this fight wont happen." (or assume Peter Fury has a crystal ball into Tyson's future shenanigans.)
99% of trainers and boxers always make out they are having a great training camp. They always lie. And if they tell the truth, people will accuse them of making excuses in advance or of telling lies anyway.

The idea that Tyson Fury's messed up life is some conspiracy against the people who bought tickets for the Klitschko rematch seems way of the mark, and I don't see what the point of that would be.

The injury might have happened at Gottwood festival. Some witnesses said they saw him jump the fence and land awkwardly.

He's in the gym here on the last day of May, looking in good shape

So when he said May, he may have meant June, and also if it was a legit injury, he pulled out 3 weeks later and probably didn't pull out immediately until he saw he could work with it.

After all that has happened, I think the injury was probably faked, it would make sense..............
