Yeah & both were the same receiving gift wins they did not deserve against good competition eg Calzaghr- Hopkins & Ward- Kovalev 1 & !!
bending the rules in the ring is generally seen as either clever or cheating. I'd go with calling it dirty/cheating, largely, but its crazy to say its never the smart thing to do too in million dollar deals. In life, no single rule about life ever works. Generally though I am Messi over Ronaldo. Personally I think video playback tech could have a use in boxing to overturn missed major fouls. Personally then I admire wards ability but scold his tactics, especially when largely unnecessary - he'd have beaten kessler and kovi (2) without being dirty.
So a guy who beat Mikelle Kessler 9 years ago. Carl Froch 7 years ago Arthur Abraham 7 years ago Chad Dawson 6 years ago just recently started fighting top competition?
Nope ...never been Banned & as far as I know I don't have Dissociative identity disorder...so deal with sonny...Ward is an out & out cheat!
Put it this way All of wards fights are dirty grappling affairs. Never seen a dirty kovalev fight apart from the ward ones. The head locks and rabbit punching were to discourage wards grappling game and protect from headbutts.
I met Ward once, I went to shake his hand, He headbutted me and kicked me in the balls, Then he started dancing around holding his hands up,, The whole time with those freakin droppy eye lids wtf is up with those freakin eyelids??? Why not get them pulled up a inch?
I think what you meant to say is that Kovalev resorted to this tactic because he can't fight at a close distance. Despite all his cheating he still 0-2 against Ward. The great ones always find a way to win. That's exactly what did. And he put an emphasis on it in the second fight by doing this! Enjoy! This content is protected
