Anthony Joshua would violently knock himself the **** out. So no. It has nothing to do with how hard Andy punches, it all comes down to how good Andy's chin is, and how frail AJ's is.
Yes in that match surely. Maybe is as you tell absolute but I think the difference is not so big. However Joshua hits hard when he loads better the shots.
No he throws pity patter he just got a good shot in, even a light hitting HW can scramble the brain if the timing is right...
Doubtful... Just compare the KDs between the two in that fight. AJ was one big shot outa nowhere, same like he did to Povetkin Ruiz had to break him down over several rounds, and a lot of people think AJ quit more than Ruiz KOd him In the end, it doesn't really matter i guess. Ruiz KOd AJ and no one can ever take that away
Ruiz Obviously hits very hard but his effectiveness is mainly due to his skill: specifically hisability to get inside and land short inside combos Taller fighters can’t deal with that. And Joshua was not skilled enough to keep him on the outside, the way someone like Wlad would have
Just to remind folks of some history: Joseph Parker had been in camps with a variety of high class fighters over the years, including Wladimir Klitschko, Andy Ruiz and others. BEFORE his fight with Ruiz (and after being in camp with Klitschko) he said he had never been hit by anyone as hard as Ruiz. AFTER the fight with Ruiz he reiterated that Ruiz has punched him harder than anyone else. Since then he fought a number of names, including Joshua and Whyte and STILL maintains that Ruiz has hit him harder than anyone else has - again drawing a lot of mockery from people. He even brought that up before AJ fought him, and made some comments which at the time were laughed at by some but now can be seen in a VERY different light. He always made it clear that he WAS HIT harder by Ruiz, not that Ruiz is the strongest/biggest puncher - but there lies the trick.... Ruiz is fast, is technically sound, has good timing, has a good chin and has good power. It's a good combination to have in a single individual, unless you aren't on his side - and AJ paid for underestimating the worth of that. The "lucky shot" (as AJ calls it) is basically what Parker was warning about. Ruiz is fast, he's there, he can take a shot and he can give a very hard one back - something Joshua usually relies on his opponents to NOT do after he clips them. He may or may not be one of the hardest punchers out there but that's not relevant, what is relevant is how hard you get hit at the time - we know what Ruiz's punches do to AJ, can AJ avoid them for an entire fight next time?
Ruiz doesn’t punch as hard as either Wlad or Joshua, but his hand speed and accuracy more than makes up for what he lacks in power.
