Look at the Ring Ratings from 2017.

    C. Tyson Fury (retired)

    2. Deontay Wilder
    3. Joseph Parker
    4. Alexander Povetkin
    5. Luis Ortiz
    6. Kubrat Pulev
    7. Andy Ruiz Jr.

Povetkin was washed when he finally got in the ring with Joshua and Hearn knew it. Pulev same. Parker fight was a non event sparring session. Ruiz lost the rematch by showing up at 300lb. Breazeale was barely C class. Whyte had him in trouble until his D class chin got in the way. Wilder 17 and certainly Fury 15 beat him well and truly. Ortiz 17 goes life and death. Well ducked.

Ortiz, Wilder and Fury are the greatest omissions. I think they represented three of the five biggest threats to his reign. The AJ brigade claim that they all ducked him ofc.

Yeah I am not buying that either. Even if they were ducking, with the amount of money Hearn and Joshua are able to put on the table the ducking would end very quickly.

"Still though I think the Top 10 and definitely the Top 5 fighters now are better then during the Klitschko era."

    Certainly true.

I think Joshua's loss to Ruiz was a wake-up call for many. If Joshua can lose to Ruiz on his 7th defence, why couldn't he lose to some of Wlad's opponents during his post-Brewster 22 win streak?

Ortiz, Wilder and Fury have all shown more courage and confidence in the ring than Joshua, so the idea that they were running scared of the big cash cow stretches credibility to say the least.

"with the two fights happening a fortnight of each other."

    And? You said "since Usyk-Joshua 1", Fury-Wilder 3 came after Usyk-Joshua 1.

    "dead rubber"

The fight was instantly regarded as a modern classic, concluding one of the great heavyweight trilogies. Wilder was No.2 excluding Fury and a 10 consecutive defence titlist, I don't see how this can't be counted as a very significant fight.

"Whyte 3 (top 5 mandatory), good; I was happy, most weren't."

Not how I remember it but Ok.

"MMA Ngannou; SD against a debutant is never going to age well."

So if Ngannou beats Joshua/Wilder, it doesn't age well? All "debutants" are not equal.

"Wallin became Rings #10 fighter last month (that's 4 years later)."

Exactly. So that's another top 10 Ring HW contenter on Fury's list in the last 2+ years.

"You've made a horrible case for Fury there."

The fact you have to say this to add emphasis suggests insecurity about the strength of your argument.

I don't know who that is but I remember being in the minority, most wanted to see the fight and Whyte was seen as a good contender at the time. On paper he was a top 4/top 5 heavyweight. But compared to wins over Wilder or (potentially) Usyk, Whyte was small beer.

The only thing more pathetic than using an alt is denying having one, especially someone like you who has run through several of them now and you don’t even try to hide it.

Wilder turned down the 100 million dollar Dazn deal. Fury was out of boxing and then came back and demanded a 50/50 split which was laughable at the time. Ortiz turned down the fight that Ruiz took when Miller failed his drug test. Probably because he was on steroids too and it was during the cycle. Kownacki turned this fight down too because he was too fat.
