Does Antonio Margarito Have The Best Chin In Welterweight History?

I'd rate Gavilan and Billy Graham above Margo for sure. Sugar Ray Leonard, too.

 

I'm hesitating to include Margo in my top five, to be honest.

Kid Gavilan, Billy Graham, Carmen Basilio, Jose Luis Lopez, Sugar Ray Leonard all have cases that are just as good, if not better.

You could argue for top five, but not for #1.

 

Could have been the peds in Mosley that did that.

 

People will say he had acne and that’s proof he was using. He’s had that long before that 4th fight. And that right hand, was landing since the very first fight. I rooted for Manny every fight and it wasn’t peds that knocked Manny into the shadow realm. It was technique and desire over several years and 4 fights that knocked him out.

 

He was hurt in the Mosely fight. But he did have a damn good chin.

 

He did until Mosley cracked it.

 

No offence, IB, but I doubt if you could even argue for top ten.

He's up there but certainly not the best of all time no.
