Does any active Heavyweight have a good resume?

Wlad's resume is good in that he's spent the last years knocking out top ten fighters, which is all he can do. It's just that you can't have a truly good record in this era because of the poor quality of the opposition. It's physically impossible to have a great record when your best win is against Chris Byrd. It's just the way it is

Adding Haye, Povetkin and Adamek would definitely have improved it.

 

problem is that povetkin and haye are ducking the hell out of him, adamek would be nice.

 

A "good" resume? Sure. I think Wlad's is "good". Holyfield? It's "great". The standards on "good" sure as hell would be stiff if Holyfield's only registers under "good", imo.

 

The fact is he could have had Haye on his record in the summer and then Adamek and Povetkin, but he decided that Chisora was more important at this moment in time. Now it looks like Haye and Povetkin will have each other on their record, diminishing one of their credibilities, Vitali will get Adamek and then Wlad will just get Haye or Povetkin.

Fighting Chisora has triggered a sequence of events that mean he has gone from potentially having Haye, Povetlin and Adamek on his resume to maybe just Chisora and either Haye or Povetkin. That's his choice

 

Wlads record is as good as the opposition around him allows it to be.

 

...Compared to your average name fighter of his time, it's pretty good, I'd say. Why would you compare it to two guys routinely ranked in the top ten heavyweights of all time- over a century of boxing? Is that really the fair standard for just "good"? :conf I wouldn't think so.

 

The Klitschko's records are 'good', in a sense. By today's standards, particularly Wlad's, they're good, because they fought the best there was to offer(for the most part). But, on the flip side, if you look at it in the way that people say that they are top 10-30 HW's ever, then yes, their records are poor.
