The issue is Holyfield, Walcott and a few others had a very small career at LHW because they weren’t one. So barring the pit stop LHWs who didn’t do much then I think no true LHW beats Tyson not even close.

We arguably saw the two best LHWs ever get stomped by comparable HWs MS and BF were beaten by short “small” HWs this is one of those moments where natural size matters they were too brittle framed and not powerful enough or strong enough for someone comparable to themselves in skill but with greater athleticism.

I'm pretty rigid aren't i LOL. I like to keep things easy to follow and tight. Antmans Spinks/Tyson thread topic is another. By the actual thread ask it's very loose as Spinks size statistically was comparable to the likes of Ali, Holmes, Liston and countless others which wasn't really what Mark wanted i reckon?

Tyson did everything right in the ring, Tunney never faced anything like Mike.

I find it silly, as well. Just take one look at Holyfield in the Tyson fights and tell me he was light-heavyweight.

Take one look at Franco Columbo whom nearly won worlds strongest man as a 5ft4 guy. He was a featherweight boxer at one point check the photos out he was ripped and slim ect obviously strong looking but tiny and with some science he was a monster. sized guy Not calling Holy a LHW but food for thought that muscle is hardly telling especially when steroids are involved period.

It's more the size of him, not the muscle. Baby Jake Matlala was jacked as **** and is like the smallest fighter ever.

    I agree.

Would you make Tyson a runaway favorite, if they fought in their respective primes?

Yes and even if he had a handful at the start of his career i'd still find him an odd pick.

The thread title is actually "champion" as well tho the opening post can obscure that and also contains Charles who technically wasn't champ there.

I'd say Conn is probably one of the Light Heavyweights that'd do best.

He had a ridiculous chin. Most likely gets worn down and stopped though.

I tend to think Tyson is poison for Light Heavyweights.
