I like how people say Mugabi was a murderous puncher....Who in the hell did Mugabi knock out that would even remotely be considered a "good fighter"?

Hagler taking the punches of Hearns and Mugabi and not going down at all means I would say no, not anyone obvious, but I am sure there is someone. It probably wouldn't be a puncher. I would say it might be a quick guy who hits him so much and often that Marvin would be swelled up and tired and goes down with exhaustion. But Marvin would not be stopped by one punch ever. But no one to say for sure. Everyone has that fighter who beats them all the time no matter what, even if that guy isn't very good.

The Toy Bulldog might pull it off.

I think it's pretty clear he had dynamite power. I have alot of his fights and there's little doubt he had explosive power in either hand.

He also KO'd Earl Hargrove, and Frank Fletcher. two good fighters. but i see your point

Hagler had a solid chin and had enough movement to avoid getting hit flush most of the time. He got shook a bit by Vito because of Vito's aggression in fight one and he was hit flush by Hearns and he held up pretty well. In the elite class of middleweight the pin-point sharp-shooters like Charles,SSR may have a chance and the pressure guys like Walker,Lamotta,Ketchel may have had a chance because of style...Monzon may make Hagler uncomfortable..Steel was another who could stop anyone....anyone can be KO'd we saw that with Fulmer vs SRR..but Hagler had as good a chin as anyone so it would be a tough task

Look at Gene Fullmer heading to the canvas after the "perfect" left hook from an aging SRR.

Which is why i'm saying any of the Middleweight greats or KO masters could potentially do something similar

I couldn't say... but at the same time, taking monster shots and posturing/not responding is less impressive than taking monster shots and coming right back like nothing happened. That for me is the big difference. Hagler could take big shots and it wouldn't even disrupt his combinations.

Robinson could take him late on in the fight.

If this is one punch or one combo my pick would be Roy Jones Jr. He may not be accomplished at MW but IMO has the speed and power to do it.

  11. it all depends if he gets caught clean then yes anyone can be kod

No. No middleweight in any era.

    No SMW for that matter.

Marvin was never hurt as a pro, an ametuer or even in sparring. Ever.

Hard Rock Green and Frank Fletcher could be a couple. More than that, it's quite obvious just by watching his fights and the reactions from his punches/manner of the knockouts that he was a murderous puncher.

He's saying those guys could KO LaMotta, not that LaMotta could KO Hagler. I disagree, either way.
