Does any one else think that nathan cleverly has turned into a cocky

How many boxers dont come across as being cocky then?
How do expect him top go about his business? Like a ***** wearing a 2 peice bikini?
And the only people who agree with you about Hopkins Calzaghe are the ones that didnt see the fight.

I cannot see a fight happening at the moment between you and Clev, because of risk risk risk and weight, also your at slightly different stages of your careers.

Of course you're right but boxing's one of the few sports where the personalities do come into it, in my opinion. It's unique in the sense that we literally see these guys in action for a matter of minutes every year. The rest is filled with hubris and hype so, inevitably, people will indulge in the personality side of things.

 

Cleveryley is a good... but Tony Bellew is a cut above in every department...:yep

When Tony's Pink Mallets start landing on Cleverleys whiskers...I bet the ref does not get past the count of 5...:bbb

 

I just don't like his sideburns/chin strap. It's nauseating.

I think that Cleverley will get the Euorpean and then a WBU belt....Any fight with Tony Bellew will not be made until it makes cash common sense for both fighters....:yep

He will come second against Tony Bellew... I do not dislike Nathan Cleverley, I have the upmost respect for him as a fighter... I just think that Tony Bellew is much better...:good

 

Well that's granted because it's an opinion on boxing. When I was on about haters I was referring about the assumption that Cleverly is 'this or that' personally:good. This very same thread starter made a thread about Bellew the other day as well.

Some people on here are ****ing unbelievable.
Calling someone a twat that they have never even spoke to or met. The kid is a nice guy. I net him while out on the **** in Bournemouth and he came across as a nice bloke. Wasnt up himself and was no different from you or myself.

Met him at the premier league darts in Cardiff, lovely guy and was chuffed to be recognised (was a couple of years ago).

Any fighter who loves his darts is top banana in my book.

Fleaman - I like his sideburn chin strap, looks a bit like a Welsh Wolverine. Plus, he probably needs it to get served fireworks and ***s etc so it serves a purpose also.

 

that is true, i suppose its the psycological side of the game manifesting itself in interviews and stuff. the mentality of a professional prize fighter is something i dont know anything about, but i imagine you have to have the me against the world mentality, and publically disregard other fighters chances with you. you could point to many fighters past and present with huge mouths, opinions and attitudes, but these are fighting men, what else is to be expected? or how should young cleverly act? :huh`
