Does any think Floyd will fight in the pocket?

The pocket doesn't exist against Pacquiao.

Floyd essentially has already said it's a straight up outside boxing match.

Pacquiao is very vunerable on the inside but you'd need fighter like Duran or Chavez to exploit that.

to fight Pac in the pocket, you have to be willing to eat anything that might come back (ala Marquez), I doubt Floyd will want to do that, especially this late in his career, maybe if he has Pac hurt or tired late, then yes, but I can't really see Floyd trading with Pac

 

Floyd SHOULD fight on the inside as much a possible. Pac has zero game right up close. Problem is Bayless will separate them as soon as someone grabs an arm.

Why would Manny fight in the pocket?

 

Getting inside on Manny is like getting inside on a cat.

 

There will be no inside fight. There's a reason you've never once seen manny fight on the inside....WAY too much heat and speed to close enough.

 

Inside fight is resting. It's not gonna happen with Pac.

 

Floyd will walk him down. He will fight like Bradley fought Pac in the second fight. Pac isn't your normal Floyd plodder opponent.

 

I think Floyd has options, hes a genius, he uses the 1st 2 rounds to see what his opponants got by starting slugglish. He does it all the time. It also gives his opponants a little bit of confidence to attack cuz they usually start a little wary.

I think Floyds plan if plan A works is to let Manny attack as he does and counter him. Im sure hes watched Manny walking on to that JMM shot a hundred times. But if he can walk Manny down and dominate him he would want to do that, he really wants to make a statement against Manny. But he wont know if he is able to walk Manny down or not until the fight starts so that wouldnt be plan A.
