I think it is a good comeback fight for Mayweather. He hasn't fought in like a year and a half.

i think the majority of the people on ESB thinks its a bad matchup.....too many other fights for floyd that will be more even...... marquez too small

Marquez isn't just a safety first counter puncher anymore u dumbass..

That was back in his featherweight days, when he was in his prime.

It just doesn't make sense. It's not logical.

Floyd should be fighting legimate 147's like Mosley, Cotto, Williams whoever.

JMM should stick to 135 or at the very, very most 140 and try to get fights with guys like the winner of Hatton-Pac, or Campbell or whoever.

I think Floyd is just too big for Marquez. It probably wont show because Marquez has a lot of heart, but Floyd is just too big and strong for him.

i feel its a more of a mismatch depending on weight. but floyed will be the heavy favorite no matter the weight. would be a nice technical fight but i still think this is diffinately not a fight that should have been made.

I agree with you 100%. Maybe the only logic is I wouldnt mind seeing Marquez get his biggest pay day and secure his financial future.

I think you just nailed what this is all about for JMM. Pac's no longer interested, and JMM has few big payday options left. He's nearing the end of his career. For Floyd, it's another no-risk sparring session against a too small fighter.
