    Maybe. Conn at 168 pounds would have been the new champion if his first fight with Louis was 12 rounds.

    Jones had amazing speed, skills, and good power for his weight. He's also faster on his feet and would take advantage of Louis lower guard, slower feet, lesser balance etc...

    But you'd have to think Louis would catch him sooner or later. But if this is a large ring and 12 rounds, later might not happen.

    So yes he could. I would not say he would.
