Does anybody complain about Mayweather making Hatton move-up to fight him?

because he balloons up after every fight and this made it so he didn't have to cut more weight. I'm not saying he was better at 147, but that was his reasoning behind it

Floyd fanboys will never accept that Hatton's best was at 140. It's part of living in denial that they all do daily.

    Deny he's a women beater
    Deny he's duckin Pac
Deny Hatton isn't as good at 147 as he was 140
Deny Ortiz is just a tune up
Deny JMM was a tune up...

It's not hard to see the pattern.

Hatton's MAIN advantage was his strength on the inside. He got this by cutting to 140 and being the bigger stronger man at 140. At 147 he was normal/smaller, and his MAIN advantage was gone. Do you not understand this? Did you ever watch Hatton before he fought Floyd?:rofl:patsch

of course they do. Especially before the fight happened. Everyone had seen Hatton fight Collazo at 147. Then he goes back down to 140 and looked good against Castillo (who was shot but Hatton still did better than people expected) and Hatton said himself that he was not very good at 147. Floyd had just fought Oscar where he weighed in at 150 at the scales.

So why did Hatton call him out? And what was Floyd to do, come down in weight to accomodate Hatton?

Hatton had a chance to make that fight after Floyd destroyed Gatti, but he came out in the press and said he did not feel he was ready yet. He proceeded to fight Maussa in England instead, and then try to build up his stature in America.

And considering Hatton outweighed Floyd in the ring even at 147 (as he would have at 140), the weight excuse carries little.....weight.

    :huh are you a dumbass?
I was explaining why he would think 147 was better for Hatton. I never said he was better at 147, I was just explaining sbbigmike's reasoning behind it. Do you understand? :nono

Also Hatton was bigger than Floyd and probably stronger than him when they fought even at 147. Floyd beat Hatton on smarts.

Pac made Oscar move down? That was Oscars choice. Cotto was 1 single pound under his normal weight and Margo was at a very comfortable Weight above his usual 147 weight, the Garcia fight don't count for **** he was off for ages and just getting back into things.

I don't think you could say that if you watched the fight. Everyone saw Floyd was out muscling and out working Hatton when they did fight on the inside.

:patsch I take it you already forgot the talk at the time, "Floyd is a small WW. He can still make 140" all that **** you and the usual idiots used to say all the time?

And what about legacy. He fought Baldomir for the lineal 147 title. And yet, he could have added the 140 lineal...but no.

WHo gives a **** if hatton out weighed Floyd. Hatton at 147 is not as effective as Hatton as 140. Nothing you say can change that fact.

Hatton at first was out muscling Floyd and had him pinned against the ropes for a while. Floyd was able to outsmart him though up close, but Hatton was doing well at keeping Floyd against the ropes.
What Floyd did have for sure though was better conditioning and was stronger later on in the fight

Yes, people complain about it all the time. It's pretty silly when you think about it. If Mayweather signed to fight Cotto at the 154 lb. limit, would anyone complain that the fight wasn't at 147 lbs?
