Don't get me wrong, I like watching Tyson Fury move through the heavyweights...but doesn't anybody think that picking Gavern as a fight is a bad move (as a US intro)? I personally think Gavern's a spoiler. I've seen the guy fight many times, he used to spar with a heavyweight James Toney, and he always seems to be able to control (or at least mess with the variables). I just think if Gavern comes in hungry Fury is gonna have an ugly fight on his hands. I'm not a Gavern fan, there's a handful of guys I wouldn't put Fury up against for a US debut i.e. Maurice Harris, Zuri Lawrence, Zack Page. Not that he needs a really soft touch...but then again maybe they think he's ready for a challenge like Gavern... Anybody else feel this way about Fury-Gavern?
if fury fights like he did in his last fight he will be exposed infront of the american audience. he has enpugh heart to fight inh the ring but not enough to stay in a fight when things arent going his way,
Gavern is a spoiler he almost beat Travis Walker on tV in one of Walkers early fights He Beat Quezada an up n comer he drew prospect Jonathon Banks no way he is an easy fight and a foolish choice of opponents
Fury is pretty awful, so even a Gavern who was toyed by Boystov is a dangerous opponent. I don't expect a very good fight, it's just a sloppy match-up, but definitely brave from Fury's camp.
Yeah, I'll never praise Fury...the only thing I like is that he's somewhat active. I just wish there was a talented fighter that could be active like him.
