I think he meant Ray Austin.

No, I thought he'd still beat the decrepit Wilder second time round, but I was surprised how bad he looked against Wallin, even before the cut. Either Wallin is much better than we thought, or Wilder was that far gone which doesn't bode well for his chances H2H against anyone in the past ten years.

Meh, anyone can have a bad night at the office. Wins against Briggs and Holyfield counterpoint that.

    Either or?

Just because Ali went 12 rounds with Rudi Lubbers and knocked out Foreman in eight didn't make Rudi Lubbers anything special.

Which of them did he "run rings around?"

Ibragimov (or Barney Rubble, as he was known on the message boards back then) was bad.

When did Ibragimov have a "good night" at the office? Marco Huck would've beaten Ibragimov.

    Even Ray Austin flattened him.

    Yes, good night.

I agree, the only two names at the moment are Fury and AJ. I'd back them against a good number of HWs from the past decade. But that wasn't the substance of the post I was responding two re: the H2H top 20. That's when other names enter the discussion.

    2010 against 2020.

People who couldn’t defend it start throwing in names that aren’t listed. I’m bored now.

no Unbiased fan can say the 2010 list is better talent wise

Yeah fair enough. I forgot Iggy was no longer around in 2010. Was more comparing respective eras, in which Iggy played a part.

Is the current top ten so great though? You've got four old men, one of whom was in the mix back in 2010, and some very underwhelming names from 11-20.

Can't remember who was in the top ten/twenty back in 2010 but pretty sure it had the likes of Haye, Chagaev, Povetkin, Chambers, Helenius, Arreola, Solis, Peter, Thompson and Adamek. Not a division of death, but then neither is this one.

And I never said it was and never thought of it. Now that you brought that up, imagine an actual tag team boxing match!

I hear Tyson Fury is offering Wilder some step aside money. I'm hoping Wilder accepts it and at long last allows a unification of all belts to happen.

Fighters you mentioned were never ranked in top 10 HW, maybe James Toney was at some point, but he was not very successful at HW.
In this era 40 year old Pov is top 10 and just had a draw with top 10 Hunter. Also defeated H.Fury, who had a close fight with Parker.
50 year old Ortiz is in top 10. Was not even close to top 10 in Wlad's era when he was much younger.
Close to 40 Pulev is top 10.
36 years old Helenius brutally stopped a top 10 fighter etc...
These people now are old, but perform really well in this new era.
