We'll know way more come 12/9. Crazy things can happen. In the unlikely event that Hatton convincingly handles PBF Ala "All that training Hatton did for the fight has made me even more of a beast @ 147" , he would have to fight Cotto.

any flaws in cotto's technique and defence highlight to me the main reasons the guys wont fight him;his relentlessness, tenacity and toughness.its a brutal nights work for anyone.

I'd advise you to watch the fight.

There are people here who seriously think Mosely won, pretty unbelievable.

Maybe Hatton will fight Cotto, but I think he'll probably return to 140 after the Mayweather fight, whatever the result. Remember, Floyd isn't a big welter, so Hatton isn't at a big size disadvantage.Against Cotto he would be

Cotto is a very dangerous fight for both of them right now. Cotto is a dangerous fight for anyone period. As for what would happen: I think Cottos defence is too poor to stop FLoyd from hitting him a lot and floyds defence is too good to get caught with anything major by Cotto - resulting in what we get with all FLoyds fights - easy UD. Cottos vrs Hattos i think would be a bad matchup, Cottos could beat Hatton at his own game (roughhousing) and is a far better boxer. Hatton would be destroyed in a short explosive fight.

Hatton has already stated he wants to fight Cotto. Mayweather has avoided the question. Mayweather has no heart left and thats why Hatton will win

Keep telling yourself that East London boy.

Its funny how all you Brits have to adduce peripherals like 'heart' to justify the absurd proposition that Hatton will win. Cause like we all know hell never do it with boxing ability.

Cotto beat Mosley now he supposed to be some Monster now....did you guys forget when all three fighters were at 140, Arum wouldnt let Cotto near either of them. Hatton was the champion and wasnt ready to fight Mayweather, and Cotto wasnt ready either. Cotto is a very good young fighter. He gets credit for beating Mosley, but lets not act like this was the Mosley Forrest best over 5 years ago. Cotto is the number one contender....nothing more nothing less no matter what the WBAssholes say.

    I've always thought that:
    1) Hatton might have won at 140 but Cotto will beat him down at 147.
    2) PBF beats him at either weight.
    3) I think either will fight him if there's enough $$$$$.

    Good post!
This is the type of **** I have a problem with the double standards. PBF beat Zab and Zab's a bum. Cotto does it and it's a great win against a dangerous foe. PBF moves up to 154 and for his first fight there fights a past prime but still dangerous Oscar wins and gets little credit. Cotto fights a past prime but still dangerous Mosley and he's the best thing since sliced bread. I give credit to both men for fighting and beating the best but others only give credit to one.:-(

Nice theory. Except it breaks down when you take into account the fact that im not American.

Im glad you noticed. I give both men credit but some fools have actually started using the "G" word while mentioning Cotto. He is a very good capable fighter and the future but he isnt a great fighter and beating 2 former champs isnt enough just yet to deserve the distinction. I feel you on the ODLH fight in comparison to the Mosley fight. Mayweather moved up a weight class and did the same as Cotto. No one deserves more credit than the other, but as all ways when Mayweather does something its like he is supposed to, and get no credit.
