Does anybody else think they're being way too confident in Lara (VS PW)?

This is official right? I know Paul's coming off a bad knockout but regardless of the rematch, this guy has a win over the p4p #2 in the world, plus guys like Margarito, Quintana and Wright. Williams has all the pro experience, the wins and all the fight in the world in him.

Lara looked like he had NO fight in him against Molina even though he's supposed to be this hot prospect. I think they're putting way too much confidence in Lara and they might ruin his career with this one! What do you think? Tall Paul by beat down, for me!

This is a great fight because one of those 2 is going to have to show us something new if they want to come out victorious. I personally think PW is damaged goods now.

Laras weakness is inside game. Thats PW strength.
PWs weakness is distance which he does not use and Lara is great at timing from a distance.

This should be 50-50 but to me i see PW doesnt react well to punches well anymore and Lara should stop him later in the fight. Maybe even mid rounds. I think PW walks into a perfectly timed left hand by Lara and goes down. Lara is not great at pressuring so PW might make it 12 but i dont think so.

Hopefully the betting odds reflect what the general fans think because i will be betting my stash on Lara.

Lara is better than showed in the Molina fight but it's still the worst timing possible for such a massive step, he's bothered with personal issues and should prove himself vs. a top15 guy first not jumping straight to the elite.

But I guess they look at it as losing is not such a big deal at this stage of his career, winning however is. So much respect for taking the risk even though PDub should win this one comfortably.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lara won this fight. People seem to be stuck on Lara's last fight.Don't get it twisted. This guy can really box.

Paul may have an edge in experience, but he just doesn't have the technical mastery Lara does. Lara needs to show more fight in him, and Paul has to show more discipline. The former is more likely than the latter, as he knows he'll have to impress, whereas Paul just keeps saying he got caught with a lucky punch; bad mentality when trying to bounce back from a loss like that. I expect it to be real competitive, playing out with the dynamics Saul_ir34 laid out, though I wouldn't be surprised at a decision at all.

i'm actually going to put a little money on lara if he's a huge underdog. williams is coming off the type of ko that can haunt a man for the rest of his career. his defense is just throwing a lot of punches which leaves a lot of openings. lara probably has better fundamentals and will be able to counter with all those openings. i know lara didn't look good on espn but he probably had a hard time getting up for that fight. with the williams fight, it's on hbo and williams got a name and rep so i'm sure he's more motivated.

Laras chance us early in the fight. Skillful, but Pwillys not done and he will welcome Lara into the major leagues. Pwilly by UD. Lara not good with pressue and Paul not good with slickters. Make or break fight for both.

Lara on his A game has a good chance here. IF he brings his A game. If not, maybe he will get scuffed up and derailed.

I think Williams is in for trouble against anyone who can punch hard. Laras sort of middle of the road in that department. I will never be shocked to see Williams get splattered. Hes just not a great boxer.

I think Williams is going to grind Lara down. Provided Paul didn't become shot overnight (and to be fair, it's impossible to say how the knockout against Serg will affect him until we see it), there's just too much of an experience advantage against top level fighters for PW- he's had nearly triple the number of fights and rounds fought that Lara has, and against better fighters to boot. He's going to look a full weight class bigger than Lara on fight night, too.

I'm skeptical of one's brain and the other's heart. I'm not at all sure what the outcome will be. I would certainly understand favoring the pro experience though.

I think Williams will outwork Lara to a UD win.
