Does anybody give Pacquiao more credit for the David Diaz win?

With Diaz fighting a close competitive fight with Humberto Soto does that give you a better perception of Pacquiao's win over Diaz?

Partially... I'm still unsure whether Diaz is better than I thought or Soto is just too small to be really effective in that division.

it was obvious that Diaz was not as bad as people made him out to be from the way he KTFO Santa-Cruz and then Santa-Cruz took CAsa to school the very next year.

I didn't expect him to beat Soto, but I knew he would give him a good fight.

nope, David Diaz still isn't that good, and Humberto Soto is not as effective at lightweight.

Yeah.. Humberto was catching him early with some very clean, elegant shots that were hurting or dropping fools before, but didn't put much of a dent in Diaz. I think Humberto has reached his ceiling weight-wise.

I just think Diaz is too easy to tag and against Pacquiao that is a ****in nightmare.

Soto isn't as powerful so Diaz could impose himself more and not worry AS MUCH about the risk where as Pacquiao almost killed him!

I personally thought Humberto Soto outclassed Diaz, and would have probably scored himself an early knockout had he applied himself more.

You have to give him credit for beating Diaz, but I would of liked him to either defend his title after that, or even take on the #1 Lightweight at the time.

i gave pac credit for beating diaz the way as it is so its the other way around here. i am now giving soto the credit he deserves for dominating a legit lightweight in diaz. diaz is not as bad a lightweight as some people are making him out to be especially at the time when both pac and jmm moved-up. at that time, light-weight was a weak-ass division that you have campbell and juan diaz as the top man. after that, you can say that david diaz would be next until pac, jmm and other 130 punders moved-up.

The way he schooled Diaz is way more better than Floyd's schooling of Baldomir. Floyd's boring as ****. He concentrated more on avoiding getting hit than punishing his opponent.

    Agree 100% :deal

Was a good win but would have liked pac to have a couple of fight at the weight after it.

Whilst any fighter winning titles at different weights is a great achievement, Personally i dont like it when guys just move up, fight one or twice then move up again but with the money involved thats the way it is these days.

I thought Pacquiao deserved credit for beating Diaz because Pac was moving UP in weight, plus Diaz was champ.
